To make more marbles today is. Oh, it's not 1212 anymore. I was really excited. It's gonna be 12, 12, 24. But it was yesterday anyways. 12, 13, 24. Yeah, baby.
Friday the 13th.
Let's go. It has been a day I'm so grateful for everybody in my life, including Mr. Kyle Gray. Thank you for being here on the show today. Kyle is a friend, a client, a coach, a mentor, a all around great guy. Coming live to you from Arkham Asylum, that's Kyle Gray. What's up, Kyle?
Brad, I'm super happy to be here. Thanks so much for yeah, closing out this lovely Friday with me and I, I'm appreciate. I'm excited to talk story, talk business with you.
Yeah, it's gonna be really fun. So a bit of background. Kyle and I have worked on a few projects together. I hired him as my speaking coach when I was doing a big old launch in Cryptoland that SVB tanked and pulled our funding and everything. Crypto got shut down by the banking cartel and that's a whole other story for another day. A $300,000 loss. But you know, those happen. But the cool thing about that is that Kyle and I got to work together on my story and I got really comfortable in front of camera and I got a huge lift in my confidence and talking like in front of a teleprompter. And he was on there for every single iteration of that, helping me to, to dial in my metaphors and my story elements and just structure my content. He just, he all around made me a better speaker and communicator which led me to closing before we got the rug pulled on our financing. $300,000 in a clip. It was pretty good. I mean like we did a really good speak from stage opportunity. And that was prior to Mastermind Millions, which he came to and Jay taught me a bunch more stuff about, you know, three day events and we closed over a million dollars in sales through that. Kyle helped along the way there. He then became a client because he was there and mesmerized by our Jane Brattitude. And then we've been working together for the last six months and Kyle has been really dialing in his offerings and doing some cool stuff. And what I love about Kyle is just, he's, he's open to fast expansion and growth. He's not somebody who sticks to his old stories. And that's kind of the topic of what we're talking about today. It's like, you know, how do we make your Story better, more compelling, more logical, more relevant, more effective in converting sales. And Kyle's just sharing some really cool wins. So let's start with some wins off the top so people understand like some of the outcomes and why does it get benefit them. And then we'll dive into some more of the weeds.
Yeah. So just a personal win that I've been experiencing thanks to us. Working together is really thinking creatively about creating experiences that lead people to sales. As somebody who works in signature talks, I certainly know how to create those. And I understand a few different tactics, but actually opening up opportunities not just to talk at somebody for 60 minutes, but to create something that people can engage with and engage with each other and understand each other. I just completed. It was probably my. My tenth or so speaker roundtable, which is a hot seat event inspired by some of the work we were doing where I walk four different people through the process of creating a powerful authority story. I combine a lot of years of practice and good storytelling frameworks and copywriting, some really intense listening and some really great questions to bring out stories that most people wouldn't normally think of or gravitate to. And it's just a very fun process to not only have one person discover the value of their own story, but have four or five people see that process be reliably done time after time. And it's really changed how I go through my sales process from just trying to drum up sales calls and drum up goodwill to having people raise their hands. They're interested in the products and services and they. They want. They want me to share about what I have to offer.
I love that. And just to give people kind of a framework here. So essentially some of what we're doing both in Build Mastermind or and Optimus, which Kyle just joins our new Mastermind, we're doing AI workflows is we're building these AI bots as kind of a custom lead gen mechanism. Right. So now the conversation is becoming more interactive with people where they can go and get their custom story built 90% as well as Kyle could do it. Because train on Kyle's stuff and then Kyle can go back through that interaction, iterate it, make it better, update the prompt, continue to upload new content, and really train it really well. And one guy just sent a screenshot. You got like three or four testimonials today, which is really cool. One guy sent a screenshot, he's like, yeah, I just did this. And it led to four more sales. So, like this is working faster than ever. We're getting results faster than ever. It's so freaking exciting. And that's one of the things we wanted to share with you today, is kind of this workflow as well as another workflow which you shared last week, that we've been kind of co creating together of. Of. Of building a way for people to jump in and do kind of a group hot seat, which is a way to warm up really quickly. The. And then if it's a good fit, naturally move them to an enrollment or implementation call or whatever you want to call it. So where do you want to start and kind of dive in or, you know, let's.
Let's talk about the experience first, and then we can transition into the bot. I think it's a. It's a good control. For better and worse. I'm like a lot of my clients who I work with, a lot of people who are really brilliant in the healing arts, really brilliant creative minds. And I am also really generous in what I do. And that's worked well for me in a lot of ways. And it's been a hindrance in some ways.
Yeah. We call that the miser martyr spectrum.
Yeah. And for many years, part of my sales process is just showing off what I do really well, which is listening carefully, finding the vein of the right story, and helping leaders connect with those stories in a way that also connects with their audience very, very quickly. And previously in sales calls, though, it's. It's created a lot of impressiveness for people. It wasn't always converting at the rate that I was really hoping for and wasn't really creating the effect. And there was a certain kind of awkwardness in delivering this and saying, here's your story now. Okay, do we want to do more?
And it's almost like you solved the problem already and now you're asking for them to pay for it.
Yeah.
Which if you've ever dealt with humans, I. Again, I'm not like, beating up on humans, but human nature is what it is. People pay attention to what they pay for, and they tend to get better results when they pay. So when they feel like they got their little cookie and they want to run off and do it by themselves, you're actually not serving them because they're going to run into the next roadblock, and then you're not there because they haven't paid you to be there.
Yeah. And so a simple shift was, well, why not do this with a group so that everybody can see this? And it's worked well. I. I also offer this when I Give talks, and I can give quick laser coaching that's usually impressive and engaging. And so why not give a small group of people each an opportunity to see how this process is repeated and to. To build up a relationship. They get to discover each other by saying, wow, look at all of these other amazing people that are getting this. They're very different than me. And this framework can be reliably applied that way. And, yeah, it's released a lot of the pressures and the binds that were part of that process in the first place and again, allowed people to raise their own hand or show their own interest in this. And it's taken a lot of pressure off. It's fun to get. To have people see me figure out how to make a story very quickly. And then through the process of teaching, like, this is something you can do, too, with guidance, with the right guide, of course.
Yeah. And I have a belief that any scarcity issue is really a pipeline issue, because when you zoom out, like, when in doubt, zoom out. There's trillions of dollars circulating the planet every day. We are in a $6 trillion education industry, of which online education, which is, you know, alternative education, what we're a part of, masterminds, courses, the stuff you're listening to right now is only 6%, so about 350 billion. A billion a day. That's still massive, and it's still a tiny fraction of what it will become as traditional, institutional, outdated educational structures start to go away and we start to take over. And we already have. So when people are like, I'm constrained. I'm feeling like I don't have enough clients. I feel like I have to. I can't give too much away. I can't put my best foot forward, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. It's just not true. What's really true is that their pipeline is not plumbed in such a way that enough opportunity is coming to them for a variety of reasons. It's mindset, it's consistency. It's just having the right offers in front of the right people. It's getting your story dialed in. There's all these little bits that make up that successful piece. But I think the distinction that I continue to talk with Kyle about and that he's working through right now, and don't. Don't let me go off on a tangent here. Like, you can obviously speak for yourself, but it's the idea of, like, am I giving too much away? And do you. Would you frame that differently? Or am I getting it so far it is.
And the pipeline issue is a real thing too. I've been building my own website largely, you know, with my efforts since 2016. And there's been times where I've, you know, built. There's like certain branches and hallways and additions of this website that I've, I've built. I've gone from a couple of different email service providers and things like that. But you're right. And I think your pipeline affects your mindset and your mindset affects your pipeline 100%. And to be honest with you, a lot of the business, or like the back end of my business, just working on it by myself as a really, as somebody with the talents that I just mentioned earlier, I've often just made the choice of I'm not going to worry about the systems right now and I'm going to use my energy and create experiences. Right. Develop high ticket relationships which has worked to, to a certain degree. But I also, like, I'm, I'm, I'm here and I'm excited and working with you for the reason, especially right now, to develop a modern pipeline that will support me and, and not taking up.
All your time without taking up all your energy, without diminishing your gifts, without burning you out and without making it feel like, oh my God, I just built myself a job. I'm working twice as hard to not.
Have as much security because yeah, so I do and have worried about am I giving too much? And with the right pipeline, like you've pointed out, it qualifies and brings the right people to the front. And I know it also orients me in a way of, instead of like, okay, I have this much time this week, you know, there's 17 things I could do to. I know I want to just fill this pipeline and I'm taken care of in that I can create videos, send people to the link, create joint ventures, send people to the link, do this and it podcasts. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And there's been many parts and many pieces of that over time and I'm excited to bring it all back together.
Yeah. So one last thought to share and then we'll dive into the nitty gritty here and give people some value. So the done for you people will always be done for you people. The done with you people will always be done with you people. And the do it yourselfers are always going to do it yourselfers until they make a shift. And it's really not going to happen in one conversation and it's really not going to happen overnight. But there's different types of buyers. There's different types of people that want to hire different types of things and pay different types of prices. And it's like there's so much to unpack there. And I won't go into it, but like when you're worried about putting your best stuff forward because you feel like you're going to push away people that would have otherwise bought, that's not up to you. They were already a certain type of buyer looking for a certain type of thing. And the freebie people help you to subsidize, you know, and the low ticket people help you to subsidize reaching. The people that just want to pay to get the result, they just want to hire you.
Right?
And that's their, that's their hack. And getting it out in front of people, getting your genius out there, getting those testimonials, like continuing to build this pipeline, this engine, these ads, all these things allows you to filter for those people that do want to buy and buy high ticket and get the result and just reliably solve the thing. Because now you're the guy or the gal who lives in their brain as you solve this problem. So there is some branding and positioning and other things that go along with that. But just remembering, like, hey, I'm not here to change what people are trying to buy. I'm just here to offer it to the right people and make sure those right people see it so that when they're ready to buy, they think of me first.
Yeah, definitely. Which is a great segue. I was kind of talking about this before, but I've created an AI storytelling coaching bot. I've used it in, I've created it in chat. GPT though.
I show us, show us, show us.
Oh, yeah, I eventually want to bring it over to Pickaxe. As far as show us, I mean, I guess we can.
Yeah, just do the screen share. I like interactive podcasts. Like, I want to start a podcast called Audiences and Offers where we just go into a studio and break stuff down on a whiteboard and show people screen shares and stuff. I haven't prioritized that yet, but I think that's where we're going with this.
Okay, so who's our ideal client? Let's make them up. Oh, look, it's already. It's giving us one. Let's think of fashion, high fashion dog clothes designers.
Okay, I think my wife just heard and she's going to run upstairs right about now just.
Just to like make up a story.
And turn our potato into a Runway model.
I love that I can make typos in AI and it doesn't. Tell me about it.
Totally gets it.
Yeah. It's like, I get it, bro.
I'm. I'm hyper intelligent.
One of the things that I love about this, this is a very interesting creature creating this process. And it's like you've got to tell it how to respond to you. And it took a long time to get it to understand the right dose of information and how to guide you forward or if you not a lot.
Of just space filling. Yeah.
So it's given us a good. Let's define your ideal client. Who they are gives us industry, their primary goal. Limited. It already kind of guesses on their.
Extension of your own style. I like that. That's a good distinction.
Pressures, emotional landscapes and their hopes. And now we can.
I got a story idea. Already?
Yeah, tell me the story.
Did you know how dogs got to be dogs the way we know them today? How like a Chihuahua and a Great Dane are the same thing? And how is that possible? Well, it was all because of fashion. Originally. It was very fashionable to have special breeds of dogs. So dog breeding became especially important during the 1700s. And all these dogs started to be bred for all these different little use cases and mostly for fashion. So that could be the story you tell to kind of ground this entire thing.
Let's start with it. So let's make up. You can be the founder. Maybe you were struggling your hard work and creativity. Oh, this is interesting. Let's see. As a fashion designer, I was sad working for humans. I was taking the subway home thinking about how dogs and humans evolved together with the help of fashion. I wish I could text input. Usually when I work on this on my own, I'll like text it in and.
Yeah, you just talk to it. Yeah, yeah, I've been doing that too.
This would be just an interesting episode of how I actually interact and engage. So now we're creating our first act. I was working as a fashion designer. And it's just. With just a couple of lines building out a moment and a story. It's speaking in present tense. And there's like, neurological things that I've instructed when we craft stories, we always speak in present tense as if it's happening. Write the script and just with a couple of lines, even like not. Not hearing what we said, it's filled this out and then it's like, how does this feel so far? Okay, now we can go on to the next step. And piece by piece, it will guide you through creating a story. And this again, it asks the questions. One of the, one of the philosophies that I have that I think makes my work better and really solves a lot of problems for people, which is not they, they know nobody comes to me for answers. In fact, people that come to me have too many answers and I have questions that help them decide which answer they really need to share. And this process starts with the client and their problems and digs into an understanding of them and then turn asks about you and when you felt like this. And this is one of the biggest issues that I see a lot of experts face is we're always just like self referencing instead of client referencing. And training this model to really focus on the client and their language first and then bringing it in. Bringing in opportunities of when did you feel like this, when did you experience this in the story has been one of the powerful things about it that people are again, like, we're seeing texts and all kinds of things come through of people being really excited to use this and because it's shifting their perspectives about what's important in a story.
Well, and, and from the typical model has always been buy my, consume it, go practice, come back to us and, and see where it broke down, right? This is like it kind of flips it on its head. It's like, hey, this is all trained on all the content. So you can go watch the content if that's your prerogative, but you could just try it and see where it lands you and go, go do it. And people can get the results so much faster. And then you have the training, you have the support in the background to be like, okay, so you start with the bot, you go and you get the result. And then if it breaks or you don't quite get there, you can come and get support.
Yeah, I think it's an interesting, like we're in transparency, we're on the frontiers of AI. I've built these things. I, I'm not exactly sure, you know, if this is the perfectly trained. I think that what the thing that I built is a really interesting, beautiful, unique creature. And I've tried to train a few other ones and it hasn't like just come together like this nice thing that this, this is. And I'm, I'm also like, because of seeing this, I'm open and thinking about how will this impact how I work. I love working with high ticket clients and if there's kind of a broad low ticket way that people are paying for these things and these And I see lots of ways. I used AI to write a book based on kind of a whole process and I'd love have this book ready and then AI bots for almost every chapter that somebody could go through and create.
That's killer. I'm doing that with my book, actually. Million Dollar Masterminds coming up soon, so. And you mentioned optimism about, you know, the world that we have won't be the world that we will have. And what I mean by that is, like, you have to build things as if the capability will be there. Like if you leap, their capability will be there before you know it. So I'm constantly pushing the bounds of what I think is possible as a visionary and like, you know, seeing the next iteration of oh, wouldn't it be really cool if. And the tools aren't there yet, but they will be overnight or effectively overnight or within a year. You know, it's like they're all coming faster than we can go. So you have to stop stopping yourself from building towards something and worrying about it being perfect and just go out and make stuff and break stuff and see where it lands. Because tomorrow you might have new godlike capabilities you didn't have yesterday. All of this stuff two years ago is insane. We wouldn't have even thought it was possible.
Definitely I wouldn't have been able to create, create this quality of things I've created before.
Speeding up, speeding up.
But yeah, I am optimistic. I think it's something that's important that we are all aware of. I think it's going to be a tough transition for people. I think there'll be some uncertainty in these years. And I also think that it's very powerful and a one of a kind thing and, and it will usher in, I think, a better, the better life for all of humanity. And I think it creates some great opportunities for those who want to be creative with it. And honestly, you know, I've, I am a very creative kind of person. I, I spend a lot of time in imagination and there's, there's strengths and weaknesses to that. But what I love about this, about the language learning models and the image models is for the first time, there's never been, like, there's, there's a limitation that's been removed from my mind. There's like, I can always come up with the image. I can always ask the question, I can always go deeper. And so there's, there's a, there's an opening of the imagination that these tools can provide that I am excited for and think that Somebody like me can, can create a great deal of success by allowing that. What I'm kind of sensing there.
Yeah, I love it. And I've seen people self serve. I've seen people use these as lead magnets. I've seen these, you know, embedded inside of programs that, hey, it's like I'm selling you a SaaS. But it's really a bunch of pickaxes that are embedded into my members area. Like there's so many ways to implement and put these in. You can put them in a book, you can put them in whatever. Right. It's like as long as you remember, like marketing is just empathy at scale and don't get too far off the reservation as far as like your expert stuff, remember to bring it back to where people are at because they're so much further behind in reality than where you think they are. Like some of these people have never interacted with a bot before, have no idea what to expect or what's realistic. Like you see some of these transcripts of what comes back like in the back of pickaxe and people are like talking to it for 30 hours and they come back and they keep talking to it and it's like it's their new best friend. And they're not even using ChatGPT. They're using my iteration of it that I created that isn't even halfway as good as the whole Shebanga bang. It's just trained on that one narrow thing. And it's like I didn't even think people would do that. That's wild. Because they don't understand the context. How could they? The vast majority of the world isn't there. So let's dive into the nitty gritty of your workflow that you, you know, we've been kind of building and build a mastermind to bring people in. It's kind of a hybrid market research hot seat group session. You talked about you had a really cool intake form. Like I'd like to visually show people some of these items and, and give them a sense of what's working. Now maybe with some numbers if you, if you're willing to share that.
Yeah, let's pull up a, an intake form. I do a lot of speaking, I do a lot of podcasting and oftentimes one of the. I'll either connect with people on a 30 minute call to just see what they're up to afterwards. Usually as, as a result of a lead magnet or somebody on the show or something here or there. And one of the best places have been doing with are helping people create their stories is these round tables. And I've since really updated my documents and how I do some of my work to make this really easy, intuitive and fast. And this is also the document that I trained my AI model on so somebody can fill this out. They map out their customer language and a few pain points. They map out what makes their problem or their solution different or better and what outcomes they can promise. And then so this is kind of the column of inputs. And then based on these three pain points, when did you experience similar pain points in your life? And based on the pivot, how did you put together this solution that you were looking for? And based on the progress, when did you come through this? This is the technique that I interview people on, but it's given them the ability to see where this is coming from and how the parts are moving. And so this has been one of the nice ways to open up the conversation, get people engaged with their story and into the content. Yeah, I'm excited. I think I can plug some of these forms right into the AI story creator into the future if they're well populated. But it at least gives me a lot better way to speak into their problems and their understanding and point out opportunities for them to grow and develop. And so from here I have I, I offer people again another story implementation session after their speaker roundtables or after they use the AI tool right now. And once they've engaged in this level and if they're signing up for this, then it's usually just a simple direction of hey, you should join the mastermind or hey, you should join my one on one coaching. And I've had people interested in both. I don't have my exact numbers, I haven't been as, as precise with my round tables. But usually one person is interested in signing up for one or the other. A couple of weeks ago I did one for a high end biohacking clinic in Florida and they hired me to do a VIP day for three of them and fly out by demonstrating this process which so to your point of the done for you, people will want it that way. Yeah, it's gotten a little bit tighter with the holiday season and just my calendars have been like so crammed out. Which is one of the things I think that finding better ways to qualify and converse and move people along this process without me directly talking to them is something that I really want to tackle soon with AI.
No, I love that. And what I love about it specifically is that you're on the cutting edge of what's working and we're considering to iterate. We've done a bunch of different processes to fill high ticket programs in the past like the market research process and the wcc, the jbuild and all this cool stuff. And it's like taking the best of all that that still works as tried and true. In addition to being flexible in what's coming and updating our workflows to serve people better going forward. Because I feel like just like banner ads used to be all the rage and then they were and then email was all the rage and then it wasn't and then Facebook ads is all the rage and it still kind of works, but it's, it's maybe evolving then social organic content and then this and then that and then, you know, like there's going to be these waves where we just have to stay on top of this stuff and make sure that everything is, is, is really good to go. So yeah, I think for me the most important thing is noticing when it's time to shift and I'd rather be ahead of stuff than behind it, even if it's going to be a little messy. So Kyle, thank you for being awesome. Thank you for being a great client. Thank you for being a leading edge person on all of this. And I'm really excited to continue to build with you over the coming several years, hopefully, but especially in 2025. I think this is going to be a really cool thing that we're doing. Can you share a couple links to Some people can find your stuff and I'll do the same and we can wrap the sucker up.
Sure thing. If you want to try out the the story creator, you can go to the StoryEngine co, that's my website, slash create and try this out for yourself. I would love your feedback on it. As I mentioned, it's a new tool and however your experience is, and however you experience it is really interesting to me. I've also got a great podcast where I am interviewing many of the greatest leaders out there and helping them create powerful stories. So you can join me there. Check out the AI story creator and I think that's a great place to start and connect here.
I love it. And then on our end, Kyle's a part of two of our programs. One's called Build a Mastermind where we teach people people how to craft their offer, launch, fill, scale and run powerful mastermind groups and scale them into six, seven and eight figures. Everything from, you know, crafting the offer to market research. To sales, to running it, to opting it. And I actually do all this. So, like, I'm doing one right now called Optimus. We've already enrolled 11 people. I talked to a 12th person today who's considering it just in the last five weeks. So this all works. It's all cutting edge. It's all. All, you know, doing well. And, you know, I feel like if any of that's exciting for you, if you want to learn the future of AI, Optimus is a great place. If you're still trying to figure out your offer that scales before you get into the weeds on. On optimization of the business itself and the processes and systems and team and all that, check out Build a mastermind dot com. I also have a book on the subject called the Eight Minute Mastermind. You can check it out. Eight minute Mastermind dot com. I think that's enough to start with. I think we'll just let it be there. And Kyle, you're awesome. Thank you for being a part of the community.
Thank you, Brad.
All right, everybody, stay blessed. Have a beautiful weekend, and Merry Christmas. If you celebrate, take care.
