The Power Of A Medium

Brad Hart explains why finding your best way to learn matters. Video works for some people, audio for others, in-person for others still. Match the format to how your brain actually works, not how you think it should.

Good morning, this is Brad Hart. This is Make More Marbles and today is Two Minute Tuesday. I want to give you a great idea. I just came back from the gym, so I look like hell. I don't care that my hair is messed up or I'm in sweat clothes. It's not a big deal. Because I'm going to give you guys a great idea to learn better, more efficiently, and to do it in a way that's exciting to you. So if you're ready, let's get started. I want to talk to you today about the power of having a medium. Now, I'm not talking about somebody who helps you speak to the dead, but finding the right medium is finding the way which ideas are communicated to you in the best, most effective way, where they really reach your mind and your subconscious the way that they were meant to. So for you, it might be video, it might be audio, it might be actually physically doing the thing and learning from somebody in real life, one on one, having a conversation. And all those are great. But the key is finding the one that works for you best, right? So if consuming information through Instagram is your medium, you use that 100%. Twitter, Facebook, video, podcasts, all these authors that are making these great books and blogs and videos and podcasts, they have multiple ways which they want to get their content out in the world. So if you want to learn from somebody and you really identify with something but you don't have the time, you can maybe take their podcast with you to the gym or watch their videos while you do something else in the background. You know, you can definitely take in the medium which you identify with best and what you learn from best. So in your own life, I think it's best to find the ways that you communicate best, whether it's in person, email, phone, text, whatever it is, so that you get your message across, but also find the ways where you learn best. And I think that's a real pathway to power in the sense that you'll be able to leverage more out of the things that you're already doing and the things you're already trying to learn. And having those people in your ear who have been successful is a super great way to increase your own psychological benefits as well. So again, this is Brad Hart. This is Make More Marbles. This has been 2 minute Tuesdays from Sunny, not so Sunny today, Santa Monica signing off.
