Welcome, everybody. To make more marbles today, I have a very special guest who's a friend of mine for a long time. And I just wanted to kind of set the frame for this conversation. So first and foremost, welcome Liz to the program. Liz Carlin.
Thank you.
Hello.
Happy to be here.
Thank you for being here, Liz. Liz and I have been friends for a while. We met through a few different mutual friends, Jen and Stacy. And you know, she's a lot to do in real estate. But what we share in common is this thing called nlp. And I went to NLP way back in the day, had a really powerful experience with Dr. Matt and Dr. Ryan who run NLP.com and the thing that really got me was I was, I was dating a woman at the time named Jessica. Shout out to Jessica if she's listening. And I was in the room with her and they did this thing called the ho', oponopono, which is like a forgiveness ritual. And it goes back like 20 some odd generations in Hawaiian culture. This idea of this energetic cord that you get to cut and forgive people and, and fold and fall life light. And it's, it's a very spiritual experience. And I had that experience. I forgive my dad. And I cried in a room full of strangers for 20 minutes. It was like uncontrollable sobbing. I hadn't cried that hard in like years, if at all. So really powerful shifted me. I ended up enrolling into their master practitioner program, which is like a two week, 200 hour intensive training in Orange County. That's where I met Jen, which is a really fun story. She rolls up on a MOT first day, and I, I thought it was a guy because, you know, you know, big motorcycle person with, with big tattoos. And I'm like, hey bro, nice bike. And she takes off her helmet, whips her hair. I was like, thanks, bro. I was like, oh, we had a laugh about it. We became friends. And that's, that's kind of how I got connected with Liz. And then she ended up going to get a master practice. And I even did this. Like, I did this for a while. I was helping clients do it. And these are like intense. Sometimes four, sometimes six. And I've even had like eight hour sessions. I've done a bunch of them myself. It's been so impactful and like, some of the stuff that we did was so impactful. I'm like at a loss because, like, A, I want more people to do it and B, it's like, you know what? I would want to charge For a whole day of my time. Like, if I did a VIP session or something. One on one is not what people want to pay. Like, it's too much of a mismatch for most people, especially people who need it the most. People who are stuck. The people who are, in their own way, tend to really need this stuff. It's like, I want to make that accessible to people. So Liz is very successful real estate investor, and she has that side of her, her life. But she also has this really powerful gift, which we both know about. And I' you know, she has way more practice at it than I do, but I wanted to get it out to more people. So she was helping out with some. Some folks that I sent her way, and I was like, well, how can we, you know, in turn, like, kind of support you? And I was just like, you know, what if we just did a podcast? So that brings us here today. And I don't want to speak for Liz, but I want to kind of get my side of the story. Why is it so important to me is because most powerful, impactful work ever done, most people don't know about it. For most people, it's not cost effective to hire somebody to do it, and they wouldn't even know where to begin with it. But it's like, imagine you could have a session where all of your BS gets written down in the beginning. You know, all your limiting beliefs, all your belief systems, all your whatever's holding you back, and then by the end of it, with no drugs, no. No side effects, no toxic anything you like, you have this stuff written, read back to you, and it says, if you can't remember saying it, it's like. It's like it never happened. It's pretty wild. Like, you. You really have powerful shifts in a very short amount of time. And it's not amnesia. It's not. It's not like that. It's like. It's a sense of like, oh, that's just not charged anymore. That doesn't really resonate with me anymore, I guess is a better way to put it. So, anyway, without further ado, Liz, please share a little bit about yourself and, and give us the little intro and fill in any gaps or any. That I was just sharing a second ago.
Thank. Thank you again for having me. I'm. I'm super excited to be here. The biggest thing that I like to share with people is that we, as human beings, we carry around emotional and mental baggage. And it comes from how we were raised. We. It comes from a negative Interaction with a teacher in grade school. It comes from every thing that happens in life. We just. Our unconscious mind is storing things and writing stories and we're not consciously paying attention to what those stories are. And that's when it turns into baggage.
So you have survival mechanism.
Right?
Bad thing happens every time the bad thing happened. Fight or flight. Cool. Got it.
Yeah. So it just gets stored in the unconscious mind. It can come from past generations. I mean, they talk about breaking, it's very common these days that we talk about breaking the generational cycles that dad or mom had a certain thing that they learned from their dad, that they learned from their mom. And it just trickled down the generations. And here we are doing exactly what our parents done because we model what we know, so we want to break past that. And then some of this can get passed down because our unconscious mind goes from, you know, past life to past life and as it cycles through and comes down, we're bringing generational baggage, we're bringing past life baggage and we're bringing baggage that we've created in this lifetime and society doesn't teach us how to release it. So fight or flight, we hold onto it. And probably the most compelling story personally for me around this is that have a teenager, he's still 19. You met him a few years ago when we went to one of your events for giving back to the community.
Yeah, Captain challenges there. We had a good time.
Yeah, yeah, it was super fun. So he was just a very tumultuous teen. You know, it was a, it was really rough years. And what did I bring to my parenting experience? I brought how I was raised, very dictatory and you do this way and you respect and you do those kinds of things. And that wasn't working with my, my teenage son who was in a really serious rebellious stage. And since he started, you know, at 11, you know, 12 and 13, having these problems and I've gone through my growth and I've done my release work on how the things that happened in my life. I now present a very different parent to my now 19 year old. He has no buttons left to press on me. So a little over about a year and a half ago, we moved to Flagstaff. And I wasn't sure our relationship had become so difficult. I wasn't sure if he was going to move with us. But I waited till he graduated high school and six months before we moved, he started moving, moved back in with us. He was living with his dad and I was trying to be gracious and letting him be his person and give him the space. But we had a lot of baggage in our relationship from all these years of difficulty. So he moves in, moves with us. We leave California, we come to Flagstaff, and about three months later, he decided he doesn't want to live here anymore. He's going to move out with friends. And I was like, okay, like, how can I help you? And I helped him move. And he moves in with his friends and six weeks later he comes to the house to have dinner with us because we didn't leave on bad terms. Was like, I don't like your rules. I don't like your, I don't like your chores that you're making me do. He didn't want it. I'm like, okay, move out. Fabulous. Grow up. This is wonderful. So I think he was expecting me to try and hold on to him and, and, and really look at things, you know, like, be the mom I was. He's used to the pattern of years of how I had been responding to him. So he comes over, he's, you know, sitting down to dinner, and I was like, so Zach, you know, what's your favorite thing about living on your own? And his response was not living with you. And to any parent, that is a sucker punch, man. And that can be the beginning of a big, huge argument about respect. I've invited you over for dinner. Like, you can go that direction with it. And instead, from the training that I've had and the release work that I've done, I have released so much baggage in the last many years that I've been studying this stuff and working with clients and always self reflecting. His values are different. And we, I do values in the breakthrough session is values based. Values drive your behavior. And because I was able to recognize in that moment that he has a value for independence. He has a value for being on his own. He has a value for not being with mom right now. It is not personal.
Well, and I wanted to point out that that's right now, right? Your values shift over time. And if you're expecting the same 9 year old to be the same as their 19 is the same. They're 29 and the same as they're 39. Like, I know I was different than everyone else and I had a big need for independence and variety and rebelliousness and, you know, I want to do it my way early on too. And now it's like, you know, I've, I've seen some shit, I've lived some life, I've shifted some things naturally and, and and through experience over time. And now it's like, oh, man, you know, you would. You would kill to have another, you know, 10 minutes with a parent that you lost, or you'd kill to have those moments back, you know?
Yeah.
But you can't live life that way. So it's like, I think values based is the most important thing. And just recognizing that the values shift over time, both naturally and due to experiences. And, you know, the breakthrough sessions can just help you let go of what might no longer be serving you.
And what we see, too, is before the breakthrough session and after the breakthrough session, your values shift. When you don't have baggage and you've released the emotional and mental baggage, when all of a sudden you're. What's important to you shifts. And it's like. It's like magic. That's my favorite part of what we do in the breakthrough session is seeing the before and after effect of the values and all the conflicts that you have.
Right.
We have all these internal conflicts where one value doesn't support the other value. And why can't we get anything done? Because our values are in conflict and.
You come out fighting yourself.
Yeah, exactly. And that's. That's what self sabotage is. Procrastination, our excuses, all of that kind of stuff is coming from a value mismatch, that your unconscious mind is trying to keep you safe. And this doesn't feel right. And now why can't you move forward on closing more real estate or really improving your marketing and your business, Whatever it is that's holding you back, it's conflicts within your values and just what's going on in the unconscious mind. So I. With my son, I could have gotten into a huge argument that would have ended in him slamming the door, going back to his apartment. Or instead, I just respected his model of the world. I didn't take his because my baggage was gone. I wasn't triggered. I was able to accept, like, okay, he's got different values right now, and this is his model of the world. And I. I don't have to think about it. I didn't have to. You know, when. When we. Carrying baggage, it's like, okay, I'm gonna have this conversation with my husband, my kid, whoever, and you're managing your response because you're all fired up inside, and it's like boiled up.
You're triggered and ready to pounce before you even have the conversation. Like, they haven't even done anything yet. It's like that. You can't go into a conversation. It's too much, you know?
Exactly. But we all do. If you're carrying baggage and you're having a con, boundaries, your baggage comes through and how you communicate. But because I wasn't triggered from my son saying I'm not living with you is the best thing about not about having moved out. I wasn't triggered and I respected his values. And so our relationship has only gotten better. My 19 year old son answers my the phone almost every time I call. He texts me back and he even just recently, this is last week, he was maybe going to come over and I told him, no big deal if you decide to come, great. If not, no big deal. That morning I had actually kind of forgotten he was even planning to come over. I got a text, hey, I'm not going to come tonight. Like so thoughtful. I mean the trajectory of our relationship is so different than where it was even a year ago.
Yeah. And that's the funny thing is like I think part of growing up is being able to separate yourself from your ego. Right. Because we're very egotistical and selfish when we're young. It's just survival requires that. Right. It's like it's all about me up until a certain age. But the problem is some people stay that way. They never really do grow up, you see, end up with older people who are narcissistic, sociopathic, you know, and some have like true legitimate DSM 5 type stuff going on, which we're not required. You know, we just want to make that distinction. It's like over a certain line there's psychology and psychiatry that, that treats stuff that's really over the line of where we're like qualified to look at. But like for the average healthy person that's just holding on to some sort of baggage or trauma, like there's no downside to trying this. And for me, I, I've had three or four now sessions. I did two with Jen and a couple with Dr. John and like each time I was able to let go of something that allowed me, like you said, to, to resolve these discrepancies and values. I did work with Tony Robbins, day with Destiny a bunch of times, stuff like that too. But like all this values work and just getting through to like okay, what do I really care about? You can't do it from just a mental level. You have to emotionally be able to feel through this stuff and you have to physically wire and fire it until it's like part of who you are so you don't have to spend a lot of cognitive load and energy trying to sort this stuff out in real time. You could just show up as you want to show up, and then it's just less heavy. There's less blame, shame and guilt. When you're like, hey, why am I behaving this way? Or why do I feel this way? Well, that stuff gets resolved at a subconscious level. There's no longer. It's like shaking the edge to sketch. You get to draw a new drawing and there's not a bunch of stuff already written there that you have to contend with. So that another way, Liz, if, like, let's. Let's speak from like the. Because here's what solutions people do or experts do is they tend to be like, you know, speak to the problem from the side of having solved it. And we kind of lose or forget or can't tap into sometimes the language and the. The way people describe what's going on for them prior to that place. And we lose perspective. I don't want to say empathy because we're empathetic, but we lose perspective on. On being in that part of the journey. So can we bring it back to, like, what types of things are going. People in their words, that. That this might be a good thing to explore for them?
For me, the. My recommendation is if you're feeling stuck, you've tried a whole bunch of different things and you just can't get past whatever it is. It's like you want to quit your job, you want to close more real estate, and you're just not gaining attraction. I find that really good ways to notice that if you're. If you're triggered by things, if you're judge judging somebody or something that's happening, and if you have a lot of excuses and procrastination, if you're finding patterns that are just getting in your way, there's conflicts within yourself that just need to be released and society doesn't have. It's not like they're teaching this in school. They should be. They should be teaching this at school because kids need to know how to release stuff and they don't. And so this is all the stuff that's stuffed down and we're. When you feel like you need to get out of your own way and you can't figure out how to do that, a breakthrough session. A thousand percent will. Will s. Will will solve the problem.
Yeah. And you can knock out multiple things. You can focus on one thing in your life, one area of life, one particular issue, but it's not so much about the thing or what you believe about it to be true. It's about what is your subconscious triggered by holding on to somewhere, somehow that it's now made meanings that that kind of keep showing up. So it's like, I have a new dog. Her name is Kona. She's awesome. Had her for three months. She's very dog reactive. So whatever's going on in her nervous system related to dogs, especially on leashes, like, is. Is a challenge that we're working through and I'm not qualified to handle it. And it's very frustrating, right? So I'm going down the street and she'll like, see a dog and freak out and start barking. It's like, you know, she's a big girl and £75, and she's like, wrestling her to stay, you know, safe, not run into traffic, not get upset, not, you know, yank the shoulder and my. My arm out of my socket. You know, like all that's happening. Well, like, she's just a dog, right? In two seconds, she's going to walk by, and it's not like her a thing. She's not being stimulated. She's going to shake that off and it's like it never happens. So, like, I can't carry that with me on the walk. I can't like, 10 minutes later be like, bad dog, you know, or like, you know, reward her for the right behavior. Like it doesn't matter to her anymore. Your subconscious mind is very similar. Like, it has no real sense of, like, time and past and future and this and that and the other thing, right? So, like, when this stuff comes up, you need to kind of be able to work with it in the moment, and you need to be able to access it out of timeline when it's not being triggered so that you can kind of re. Re pattern some of these things. So it's like, I can't hypnotize my dog. I can't do a breakthrough session with my dog. But we happen to have language, and we can do things like timeline therapy and go back and forth on the timeline. We can drill into these particular situations and we can remove some of these hooks that the subconscious mind has created that keep us stuck in the moment. So, you know, Kona has her ways, which I'll continue to get professional help with. It's beyond my skills to deal with. She's 99% potato, 1% tornado, and I'll work with the tornado part. But. But as a human, we have options, and we have people like Liz who have really dedicated part of her Life, you know, in addition to having a full real estate business, in addition to having a family and being a parent and all this great stuff. Like these are resources that exist that, you know, again, pharmaceutical companies have no, no skin in this game. They want to sell you pills that create more side effects and more pills and more revenue streams for them. Right. Psychiatrists and psychologists, it's a lot of back and forth and arguing over mostly minutia and cognitive behavioral therapy takes tens of years to work, if it ever does, which I don't.
40% success rate.
40% success rate. And you're, you're there for a decade, going every week, but then I've had a breakthrough session or three in this case and it's like immediate results every time, no side effects, no ongoing bs. And people are like, oh, well, what does it cost? I'm like, well, what does it cost to not have your life back, back, you know, like money, you can make more money. And in fact, like, my businesses all grew and my, my income all grew because I was able to get out of my own way. What's the cost of not doing it? I would, I would wager millions if, if that's what you are trying to create. If you're like a, if you're a legit business. This is not for the muggles in the room and they probably aren't listening to me, but like for the wizards out there, if you consider yourself like a, an entrepreneur, an investor, a philanthropist, whatever you're trying to do and make an impact in the world, if you're not doing this kind of stuff, it's like you have a million dollar racehorse, you're going to shoot it in the foot and be like, oh yeah, go run the race. Like, that's not going to work.
That's a great analogy. That's a great, that's a phenomenal analogy. I couldn't agree more. The other thing that's so amazing about this is that, you know, when I do a breakthrough session, let's say it's on somebody's career. Well, it, because of the six areas of life, they all are intertwined. If your career is going better and the stresses are less than relationships get better.
Right.
You know, like all this work I've done, I didn't go into this to improve, specifically my relationship with my son. I didn't, I didn't think that was possible. I didn't think it was possible to develop a relationship with a teenager.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
What a great freaking side effect. I went through all this this work, I've done all of this, this release work and it's stimulated a wonderful working relationship, like a phenomenal relationship with my 19 year old that usually we wouldn't see until my 19 year old is probably 25, 28, maybe 9 or if at all. Right. And so he sees a different parent being presented to him because I'm not triggered. The buttons he used to push, it's kind of funny, you can still watch them because of his memory that this used to work against mom. He still tries to press him and there's nothing and he just kind of, you know, it just rolls off and we move on.
Right.
And it's just incredible. So the thing is, is that when you do this work, it improves every area of life, not just the main goal that we're working on.
Yeah. You mentioned kind of the different areas of life. Could you just briefly run through those real quick? It's a real life exercise that a lot of people talk about.
Yeah. The six areas of life is career, however you make your money. It might not be a job, but it could be, however you're entrepreneurial. So how your career, your physical health. So if you are either trying to Capture your, your 19 year old body back or battling. You know, I have a client right now who is overcoming. She's, she's like in the maintenance cancer treatments. So she wants to have a better mindset so that her, she can handle the things that come. And you know, different things are said that she doesn't want to bother her around death and just different conversations that you have in life. She doesn't want to be triggered by those things. So we're releasing that. Personal growth and development, family, relationship and spirituality, those are the six main areas. And so you work on one and beautifully. It's like a flower that blossoms and it just positively affects all areas of your life. And sometimes it can bring up something that you need to work on in a different area. It can help as you're releasing and seeing what's going on. The thing you get better at too from doing this work is recognizing your own triggers. I used to get triggered and I, I had no idea I was triggered. I mean, it was just like I didn't even know what I was mad about and why I was mad. And now I can see my triggers, I can see other people's triggers. Their triggers don't set me off because I know this is about them. And just life is incredibly peaceful when you're in this state. When you've released the bags and you don't have it anymore. It doesn't. It doesn't control you, right?
So I think you can't really get through life without being traumatized. And trauma is like, it's one word to describe a lot of different things. Everything from like, somebody almost just clipped me on the highway and I was. I was just a little freaked out for a second. All the way through like a war, right, or something really horrific, or, you know, an attack, an assault, a rape, you know, losing a child, a parent, any of those types of things. Like, we all go through stuff, whether small or large or however you want to look at it. I want to. I don't want to, like, rate anybody's trauma or rank anybody's trauma, but, like, whatever you're going through, like your. Your subconscious mind is creating defense mechanisms and protecting mechanisms at a lower level than your conscious that you will never be able to access with just thinking. Right? Thinking is a conscious function. And I believe the subconscious controls probably 90% of who we are. And we can inform it through thought and habit and consistency. But really we need tools that are more than just that to influence it, to change it, to unhook these traumatic things, really to let our subconscious mind know, like, hey, I got this. We don't need to be afraid of this. We can keep the lessons. And that's part of some of the. We have these books I'll just show you because I don't know if you have them handy, but I've got like six of these binders of. Of just different tools. Like, you know, we're talking, like a lot of training is the on end of this. And this is just one of the modalities that I'm sure Liz has studied and that I've studied. And it's like every single one of these is like a tool for a different thing that you're going to run into that's very common. And like, I've seen people who smoked every day that quit smoking. I've seen people that ate sugar every day that stopped. Like, I literally saw a lady who. They did a thing where I forget they called it. Exactly. It was like a swish pattern where she really loved soda and she drank soda every day. And she's like, I gotta stop drinking soda. I tried everything. I can't do it. Literally, they remapped it in her subconscious mind from something that she loved. And the sound was really what got her. The sound of the bubbles was the thing she was anchored to. And they switched that anchor to something that was unpleasant and they made it taste like blood. There's so many things that they can do in just seconds. And five minutes later, she never wanted to touch the stuff again. And they checked in with her a year later. So, like, no, I still can't. I can't stand soda. And it might not be that drastic. Like, that was a drastic thing. Like, you don't have to hate something in order to. To be. To be done with it, but you do have to notice what you're being influenced by and decide if that influence is. Is in alignment with your values. And if it's not, well, maybe we need to unhook some stuff. Maybe we need to shift some stuff. So it's pretty wild stuff. And it's, like, literally the most effective modality I found. And anytime I get into, like, I just feel at a loss because, like, this has been so powerful. And people ask me all the time, like, like, you know, what's the tip and what's the hack and what's the strategy? I'm like, clear the decks and work on yourself.
Yep.
And this is one of the most powerful modalities to do that. And some people are like, oh, what. What are the drugs, Brad? Tell me about the drugs. Because, like, I'm. I'm getting to a place where, like, I'm moderately successful. I'm not Elon Musk. I'm not like, Queen D. I'm not, like, you know, Mahatma Gandhi or anything like that. But, like, I. I'm moderately successful. I have a bit of a following. So people ask me all the time, like, what. What was most impactful? What could you share? Like, what's the hip. The. The hip thing, the track. You know, what. What should I be doing? And I'm like, you got to work on yourself. But not everybody has 10 years and a million dollars to do that. So, like, okay, well, what are the things that, if I had to start all over again with limited resources and limited time, that were the most impactful? And hands down, Breakthrough Sessions is one of the top five. And it's the most difficult one to convince people to go do, like, pulling teeth. I don't know why I'm not good at explaining it. I'm not good at sharing my story. Maybe people don't resonate with it. I don't know. But, like, every time, like, people are close to me, I've known for years, I'm like, go do this. And they're like, I don't know, you know, this and that and the other. And I'm like, why why is it so hard to get people to do it? So part of the reason, selfishly I wanted to have you on, Liz, is like, maybe you're better at pitching this than I am. So if you were to give, you know, a pitch to somebody who's like, skeptical, on the fence, has tried other stuff, or just generally has an aversion to trying this kind of woo stuff that maybe, maybe this falls into, I don't know. But with science backed, right? There's. There's definitely been studies and stuff. Like, what would be your pitch to. To get them over the line?
Mostly like, what is your goal and what's stopping you? And recognizing. Helping them to see that what's holding them back is them. And if they really have a strong why and they really want to make the change, this is like seven years of therapy in seven hours. The mental and emotional release book is the process. You can read this book and see this. As Dr. Matt, who trained both, the two of us, both went through his training. His book talks about the trillions of people. Not trillions, but the thousands of people. Thousands of people that they've helped. And the number keeps growing because more and more of us are getting this training has. So if you want to make sustainable change in life, the breakthrough session and then you add layer coaching on top of that, we clear the slate because the four requisites of change are we got to release the baggage. We need to create a compelling future. We need to stay accountable to our goals. And we have to stay positively focused and not let those naysayers get in the way. And you do those four things and you will have sustainable change. So if you are ready to make change in your life, you need some more stories and testimonials that come from Dr. Matt, myself, Brad, we all have success stories. I have never had a breakthrough session at work. They always come out on the other side. I even have one. Can we bottle this? This is amazing. She felt like she was euphoric at the end of it. She felt like she was on drugs. It's incredible. So anyone who wants to make sustainable change, this is the way to do it. It is leaving the baggage behind. It's turning over that new leaf and you step into the person that you want to be.
That's. That's a really good way to put it. It's like, hey, you don't need to take it from us. Like, Dr. Matt's been at this for 30 plus years. You can go work with him too. Like, you don't have to work with, with Liz necessarily. Although I recommend Liz, she's great. And here's the problem is like of the people who learn this stuff and actually do it, very few people stick with it because it's just, it is time, right? It's a whole day session and it's like that, that requires a different model. Like my model is group, right. I always work with people in groups. I love working in groups. Like to buy a day of my time is like five figure investment. You know, it's like not going to, not going to be applicable for most people. So if you can find somebody who's an incredible practitioner who doesn't charge some incredible amount of money, not that it's not worth it. I'm just saying like you're going to have prices all over the map. I say jump all over that.
So yeah, so I'm actually launching a blend of one on one and group coaching. It's starting. Well the, the group coaching starts in April. I'm enrolling people now. It's where I am able to give people that one on one breakthrough session piece with some, some follow up coaching. First of all is to create who is it that you want to be. My personal belief is why does everybody end up in these, you know, midlife crisis? Because we live in a society that focuses on what are you going to be doing in your life. So we go to college, go get a job, go buy a house, go have kids. They all of the doing and we forget about the being. And so part of my program gets you focused on who it is that you want to be. And then we develop the having and doing to support that being. That's going to get rid of the midlife, midlife crisis concept. So I work one on one with people on that and I leave a few sessions open for if they have something pops up and they need one on one during the coaching, they can reach out to me and book a one on one session. And then the group coaching allows accountability for your goals. Mindset coaching. There'll be a mindset course in the program. And this whole thing, I'm enrolling people now, I'm only taking eight people because it does take time to get all of the breakthrough sessions done. And I have existing clients that are not a part of that program. But this program is a massive steal. It is $5,000 for the breakthrough session and 12 weeks of group coaching where there'll be goal setting and we'll just really be able to stay focused on everything. And then we have, I think it's 6 or 71 on ones after the breakthrough session as well.
That's a killer deal. That's a really killer deal. What I love about that is like as you mentioned, the four pillars of lasting change environment always wins. You know, it's like if you have this cool, you know, landmark session or NLP or Tony Robbins and then you go back to your normal thing, well, you know, you spent, you spent a few days in that environment or maybe a few hours or a day or whatever. It's like you spent time in that environment and that was really transformative. But then you go right back to where you were and you've spent your whole life there and you know that's not indicative of lasting change. So it's like that middle period is really important, that transition period is really important. And by having these people around you, by having Liz to guide you, by having this positive, consistent, you know, immersion plus space repetition, as Tony would put it, I think you have a really unique and singular opportunity to actually make lasting change. And that's what is most important. It's not about the guy who quits drinking for a day and goes right back to it. It's the guy who can stay sober for 10 plus years or the rest of their life. Right. If that's a problem for them. So, and again, I don't want to relate this to any specific issue, but it's like if you can actually solve it and have it stay solved, that's preferable versus oh yeah, just take a pill every day for the rest of your life.
And yeah, or like the yo yo diets, you know, your yo yo diet, in and out, the people who gain weight, lose weight, gain weight, lose weight. It's because they haven't actually fixed the baggage behind the problem. So baggage. And they have a different relationship with food. So it all, it all intertwines. You know, Brad, you're the only person I will do just breakthrough sessions for your clients because I know they're being coached by you. I only, I always put the, the coaching with the breakthrough session because you, you can't just, you know, wipe away the start with a fresh canvas, which is what the breakthrough session does. Because what are you going to paint? You're going to paint a very similar picture to what you knew. And we want to address the patterns, we want to address the strategy, we want to address the long standing change. And that's what we do. We identify what's working, what's not and we eliminate what wasn't working. If it comes back up and so we want to create the new picture, the new beautiful, you know, Van Gogh image. And of what you want, not just a different color, you know, color scheme of the same picture that was there before. So the coaching piece is what keeps you in the same trajectory as where you left off with a breakthrough session. And I feel confident whenever I hand your clients back to you that they will get that coaching and you will help them through that. But I stopped doing just breakthrough sessions.
Yeah, I think that's a good way to look at it, and that's a good update because, like, you know, I really want to focus on my lane, which is like, hey, if you got a business challenge, if your offer's off, if your sales process sucks, if your leads are not qualified, if your operations need work, like, that's where I thrive. The personal stuff between your ears, like, I know it and I can do it, but it's like, it's kind of like getting in the weeds for me a little bit. Like, I try to. To stay high level. I try to stay group, and, like, that's the best way I can serve people without, you know, without getting slowed down. And it's just like the. The early, you know, it's. It's important at every stage of the game, but it's new level, new devil. It's like, I love to have. I really appreciate Liz for what she provides. I appreciate Jen for what she provides. On the mindset front. Everybody needs it, and I don't know that I'm, like, the best at that, just to be perfectly fair. So it's great to have partnerships. It's great to understand, like, hey, I'm not the right fit for every problem you're ever going to have. I'm not the only mentor you're ever going to have. You know, if you hire me, I could probably help you on certain things. But if you're stuck in the weeds because of some trauma, well, then maybe you need a little bit of remedial help. Or maybe you need a little bit of, you know, getting up to speed type of stuff, or just a breakthrough block, because we all have blocks, right? The thermostat works on both ends. It's like, if it's right, you know, some people have, like, I'll. I'll work hard enough to get to this range, but then when I start doing too well, I'll also sabotage, you know, so if it's like, you know, you're in your band and you need to expand your band and break through some of your ceilings and Comfort zones, like life's too short to, to live within your limitations.
It is, it is.
So get the help you need, that's all. And, and we just want to share what's worked for us. I think that's, you know, I don't have any skin in the game. I don't really care. You know, at the end of the day, like how you solve the problem. I just want you to solve the problem. I don't care with whom you solve the problem. I just want you to solve the problem because, you know, the world needs leaders now more than ever. And if you can't get out of your own way, if you can't lead yourself, what hope do you have to lead the rest of the world?
Agreed.
Yeah. All right. So that's my, my spiel on that. Liz, let's land the plane. How do people get in touch with you if they're interested in your program and what you got going on?
Well, I'm Liz Carlin on Facebook and my business page is. That's right, Coaching on Facebook.
That's right.
That's right. So that's probably the best way to get a hold of me. I also have a website. That's right. Coaching.com. my email address is, is listed on the website. I'm happy to, you know, do discovery calls to see if it would be a good fit and I, you know, if somebody isn't interested in the group program and wants to do one on one work, that can be discussed in as well.
Okay, awesome. So, yeah, reach out to Liz at that. Right. That's right. Coaching.com. and you know, if it's a great fit, please work with her. She's awesome. And you know, I can't say enough good things about the work. I can't say enough good things about Liz and, and Jen and that whole community. You guys are awesome. And we all need to help each other with like, because everybody's got a piece of the puzzle. So like don't pretend and, and, and you know, think yo got. I got all this figured out or I'm willing to live with whatever it is you're going through. It's like you don't need to. And why, why would you, you know, it's like I get bored. I get bored easily with my, you know, like I wanna, I wanna break through it and some of it's more easy to break through than others and sometimes you a little extra help. But regardless, I want to keep growing and changing and evolving. Like I don't ever want to stay stuck so if you're, if you're the kind of person who has a growth mindset and sees the limitations of a fixed mindset and wants to continue to grow and improve, like, like, I can't think of a better thing to work on than yourself.
Agreed.
Yeah, my pleasure. And everybody, if you're. If you're looking for what we're up to, just a quick plug, we got our Build Mastermind program. If you want to learn how to craft your offer, scalable, sustainable Mastermind offer, launch it, fill it, facilitate it, and scale it. That's what we do mostly on the offers and sales side. And then when you get to a place where, you know, hey, I've got a business that's cranking and I've got like, you know, leads challenge, I want to go grow, or I have a operations problem, I feel overwhelmed. And you want to get yourself off the org chart with Autom, automation and AI. We have a new mastermind called Optimus. We just did our first little Mastermind last weekend. It was really fun here in Phoenix. And I'm just on cloud nine. It went so amazing. We have some such incredible clients. People like Joe over at Daily AI shout out to Joe. He also runs Prime Mastermind, which has been a huge influence on what we're doing. We've got Amber Spears from Four Rooms. We really love Amber. She's doing some incredible work with people, just making sure they have all the areas of their life covered, not just business. We got Ryan Kohler, who has this insane, huge email list of HR professionals and job seekers. And just he's doing some incredible stuff, launching his own human resources Mastermind and dozens of others that are just amazing clients for you to meet, as well as some really great frameworks and processes. So if you're interested in either of those, please do give me a note and I'll talk to you about them and we'll go from there. But, Liz, thank you again for being on the show. And we'll go from. We'll end here and have a blessed day and take care.
Thank you.
