Five popular sayings are wrongly attributed to Jesus. The speaker contrasts each misquote with what Jesus actually said: "follow your heart" versus "follow me," "believe in yourself" versus "deny yourselves and follow me," and "live your truth" versus "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
5 things Jesus never said that people believed. Number 1, follow your heart. Jesus never said that. He said, follow me, because the heart is deceitful. Number 2, be true to yourself. Jesus never said that either. He said, whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and follow me. Number 3, believe in yourself. Jesus never said that. He said, believe in me. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me. Number 4, Live your truth. What Jesus said was, I am the truth, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. Lastly, as long as you're happy, that's all that matters. Jesus never said that. He said, what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? That is what Jesus said. Drop amen and share this if you believe in God.
