Hello again, everyone, and welcome to today's show. If you're one of the 130 million people that are dealing with Sirs Lyme disease, autoimmune disease, or other conditions that are impacted by mold on a daily basis, and you need to learn how to eliminate that exposure, then you're in the right place. My name is Brian Carr and you're listening to Mold Finders Radio.
This is such a big day. I'm so excited to be recording this right now and for you to be listening to wherever you are, in your car, home, working out, like whatever it is. I'm really excited. I'll start here. It's almost like I don't even know where to start because there's so much going on. I will start here. Over the years, we've learned a lot about how to build through houses, how to find mole problems, how to guide on remediation, how to do it all the right way. And there's a reason that we inspect as we inspect, and there's a reason that you're listening to this show, right? And so there's been this evolution of time that's gotten us to this point. The one thing that I've always known and that we've always seen and that I've even talked about publicly is that getting this done the right way should not only be available to.
Wealthy people, basically. And for now, because of the way that we've been built, we have to travel places, do all this stuff. It's not that you have to be like super wealthy, but it's not cheap, right? It's. There's a cost to it. And as anything develops, any product, any service develops and evolves, you figure out ways to make it more cost effective. And in doing so, you're able to open up what you can do to more people and you can help more people and serve more people. And that's always been like this thing behind the scenes that myself and Corey, my, my partner and just all of us that we inspect have really wanted to try to figure out. And so that set us on a path 18 months ago to start developing something that would allow that to happen. And the reason we started doing that was because two years ago at our company annual meeting, I rolled out this concept that I called the pack. And I said, if someone doesn't work with us, there's only three reasons that they wouldn't do it. One is price. It's too expensive. They want to, but they can't afford it. It's the first one. Two is Access, meaning how do I get you to my house? How do I work with you? You don't. You're not where I am. So there's this kind of whole access piece and then there was a knowledge piece where there's just a lot of people that don't understand the impact that the house might be having, or they don't understand the difference between a company like ours versus somebody you find on Yelp locally. And those are the only three reasons that somebody isn't really able to get, you know, what I consider the country's top tier service and figuring this stuff out. And what's really cool about where we are now is.
None of those barriers exist anymore. And I'm really excited. I'm going to walk you through what we've been doing over the years to it. When I did this in the company meeting, I referred to it as filling the pack. Everything that we do, every effort that we make, every initiative that we have is all geared around filling this package. P A K price, access, knowledge. So if it doesn't solve one of those problems or help to solve one of those problems, then it's not worth our time that we're not running at it. Right? So the first thing we ran out was knowledge, because that was the first thing that we chose to run at. And that's where this podcast came in. That's where the social profiles came in. That's where myself going and speaking at medical conferences came in and really trying to spread the word on how this works and really let people feel heard, let them feel like they're not crazy, their general medical practitioners are not nuts, or, excuse me, you are not nuts, even though your general practitioner may tell you that you are, because they don't know what's going on. So there's a big knowledge piece and that we were working on that for the last several years. The next thing was access. And with Weinspect as we've grown, we are now able to go anywhere in the country very easily. Right. Three, four years ago, it wasn't always the case. It was like, I live in the middle of Idaho or Oklahoma or Kansas or wherever and I'm in a smaller town. How do I work with you? And it was hard. We couldn't even get to certain places, or if we did, there was limitations. So the second thing we focused on was access. And the first was being able to get to people faster, being able to even just get to people anywhere. That was the first piece of it. Another piece of it was getting access to Our knowledge components too, and trainings. And so that mixed the two at that point and it's okay. That's where molefinder's method came in. So any of you guys that are familiar with molefinder's method? It was my attempt to try to provide access to our process on how we go through homes and teach you how to look at your own space. So you didn't need us to come in. Right. And so in my mind that was a combination of access and knowledge. But price has always been the big thing that's been floating out there and there's only so much we can do on that when there's travel involved and there's all these stacks involved. Right. And so that's what we got to 18 months ago said, okay, we're going to now make a really big dive in the price. We're going to figure out how to reduce. This isn't something that we want to do for a long time now when it comes to price, I think the biggest way to, to reduce price is to really understand what's driving it and then to go that way. Right. So for a lot of people, they aren't ready to inspect their entire house, for example. Right. A lot of people will call in and they'll be like, hey, I'm concerned about like these three or four areas over here or my child has these sort of things going on. I really. Because I have a price limitation. Right. And again, the whole purpose of this is not to say, oh, you can't afford to go through your whole house. It sucks to be you. God, I hate that feeling. Right. And. But that's what a lot of people feel like because the options are limited. Right. And so really our plan at attacking price was to be able to provide flexibility in terms of how we look through places and even if we need to be there in person or not. Right. And so those are the two things that we started playing with. Is there a way to take ourselves going to the home out of the process, but still making it so the homeowner doesn't really have to do anything or know how to inspect their house? That's a challenging thing to figure out. We figured that out. That's a challenging thing. Right. But that's probably the most exciting piece. And then the other part of it is say, okay, if we can figure out piece one where we don't have to necessarily bring seller the house, the homeowner doesn't have to know what to look for, they don't have to inspect a house or the or not necessarily homeowner, it'd be a renter, whatever it is, and personal living in the house, then we now have way more flexibility in how we look through a home. Right. If you're somebody who says, my child has behavioral issues and they've tied it to environmental exposures and there's inflammatory issues in maybe neuroplump brain scans that they're having or whatever, or maybe they've been diagnosed with adhd but. Or their personality has changed or all these things are going on, you're like, okay, let's talk about this. If I was going to sit here and try to figure out the best way to attack this would be going through your house, the whole thing, would that be ideal? Yeah, that'd be super ideal. Your whole house is connected. Right. But what if it's not ideal for you? What if you're on a budget? What if you're not able to attack it in that way? We have to have another option. And that's where we're coming into now, which is what I'm really excited about. So now you're able to say, oh, my child sleeps in this room and this is their main bathroom and Maybe they spent 70% of their time in these three or four areas of the house. So why don't we start there? If you could find what's going on in the three or four areas that they spend in the house and you can reduce the exposure they're getting in the house, because you found a couple things and you could figure that out, that's going to have a huge impact on them. And you're able to manage your cost and maximize the effect at the same time, because you're not flying someone to your house. You're not looking through the whole thing. You're really targeting, testing how that works. Right. And so that's really where we are now. And so what we've created, we've been working with internal clients on it. So people who have, who have been calling in to us and they've basically been telling us this situation. Right. I'm concerned about certain areas. I can't afford having you come out or whatever. So we've been talking to them in a one on one basis so we could really work through the process, work out the kinks and all that stuff. We've been doing that for, gosh, six months now. And it's in an awesome spot now. It's really working. So now this is my first time actually talking about it publicly. And what we've done is that we've created the first ever custom built at home test kit that doesn't just tell you if you have a little problem, but it tells you exactly where it is and it provides remediation protocols on how to fix it, right? So when people call in and they're like, hey, I'm concerned about these areas or whatever, what they want is they want us to be able to tell them what's going on in those areas and then they want us to be able to provide their remediation plan for them. That's what they want from us, right? So that's now what we've created. So let me explain how this works, right? So the first thing, it doesn't require us coming to your house anymore, which is really cool. We developed app for your phone. We're about 18 months in on this thing and what we've done, think of it like a car insurance app. So I had this experience and I was like, oh, it's just like this. You get in a little fender bender, somebody bumps your bumper or whatever, right? You call your car insurance company and they're like hey. Or you're like hey, I got this thing, what do I do? And they're like download our app. And in the app you're going to click the button that says submit a claim and it's going to pop up a thing with a camera. It's going to tell you the pictures that we need to see of your bumper. That we're going to tell you exactly what to do. I'm like, this is exactly what this is. That's basically what it is. So let's say you're calling in, let's go with the same your child situation, right? You're like, it's my kids bedroom, it's my kids bathroom and maybe they have a playroom or maybe the other area where they spend the most time is like a, like a main living area, is like a kitchen living area or something like that, right? So you have three or four rooms are tied into this. We're not going through your whole house, right? But we're trying to focus on the areas where they spend the most time. So you say, okay, here's what we're going to do. You're going to download our We Inspect app and then we are going to create a like a profile for you in there that has these four rooms in it. Now what's really cool, and this ties back to molefeimer's method and then even ties back to how we go through it. I know, we know Every single thing that we need to see in a house. We had an episode a couple episodes ago with Brett, who is our field inspection team supervisor. We talked about the mold bible. We talked about how there's literally exact things that we need to see across the way as we analyze a house, right? And so what happens, Our field team goes in, they provide those photos, that information for our lead inspectors who are working with them to go through the house. Our lead inspectors analyze the photos and create a testing plan around what needs to happen. So what we did is we just took our model of what we do, but instead of sending you an inspector, we put an app on your phone and we just say, hey, you're looking in your kids room. We know we need to see these things. And all it does is it prompts you to take pictures. That's it. You don't have to know what you're looking for, you don't have to know where. You literally don't know anything other than open it up on your phone and point and take a picture. That's all that you need to know how to do. And then it syncs back into the same system that we use to do our inspections across the country. We do over 100 inspections every month. It's the exact same way that we do it. And our lead inspection team looks at the photos, analyzes the photos, and says, hey, this looks suspect. This looks suspect. I think we should test here, there, whatever it might be. And what's really cool about this is that as you go through this process, you're first connected with a one to one coordinator that works directly with you. Right? So it's not like you download the app and you do this. You never talk to anybody. Actually, before we even upload your home profile to your app, you get on a phone call with our coordinator that, that is assigned to you. They talk through what's going on with you. It's literally the same exact process that we do with all of our inspection clients. Before we go into their house, we have a phone call with them and we ask them what's going on, where your concern areas, what are your health issues, what's your goals, what are your objectives, all that stuff. We literally mirrored our exact process that works and works incredibly well, which is why we inspect as we inspect and we turned it into this process, which basically just takes away the need for us to inspect an entire house and takes away the need for us to send a inspector to you. That's. That's all that we did. Right? It's super, super cool. And so you have this initial call with your coordinator. We build out your home profile, we upload your profile to your app. You'll see it in your app you take pictures of these areas at your leisure, right. There's no timing, right. So if you want to wait till the weekend and you're going to go through and take the pictures of these three or four rooms that you want to analyze, that's fine. Once all the pictures come through, we get notified and then our inspection team looks at all the photos and they identify the areas just like we would in a normal in person inspection that are red flags, things that we're concerned about, right? Are we seeing the five signs of water damage? Is there something that you told us in the initial call with our coordinator that, that the onboarding call that is going to warrage us to want to investigate a certain area, it's all exactly the same, right? And then on the back end of it, you have a call with your, with your lead inspection strategist. We call them your strategist that's working with you and they're going to run you through everything that we saw in your home analysis. Excuse me, and then explain to you what the plan will be. So that's how the process looks. But what's cool about it is it's all free to run a custom built test kit that comes to you, right? So really what's happening is that you purchase a test kit. The test kit comes with two source identification tests already included. So your test kit is going to have two tests included. You go through this process, you get on the call with your test kit strategist and then they basically say, okay, I found, we, we found these things that we think are concerning. You bought a test kit, has two tests that are included with it. These are the two areas that we think are the highest priority areas that you should be looking at based on our analysis is already included in your K. So we can custom build your kit and send it to you just like that. If we found other things in addition to two things that are going on, we're going to show you all of it. We're not going to hide it from you, right? That's like the beauty of this. It's like you're working with our consultants like along this way and we're going to show it to you. And the cool thing about the test kit, the reason is customizable is one, it's built around your house specifically. So if I'm looking at your home on the back end. And I see an area by a window, an area by a toilet. That are the two areas of concern. Those are going to be the areas that we'd recommend that you test in your kit, right? But let's say we also saw something, like by the shower, we maybe also saw something in the sink cabinet. So it's maybe one more area or two more areas. You have the ability, if you want to add on additional tests, to customize the kit some more and really get to the point where it meets your objectives, right? So if you're talking about your son or your daughter, and maybe their bedroom didn't have anything going on, but maybe their bathroom had three things going on instead of two, and you're like, you know what? I would rather just check the third thing here and just be really sure. Then you can. You basically have the a la carte list that you could then add if you want to. Right? It's completely up to you. You have 100% flexibility on this thing, and that's what's really cool about it. So you have complete access to our team, our process, our flow, but you have 100% flexibility in the areas that you look at and how much testing you want to do. Right. Is 100% up to you. And what this has done, if you go back to the pack that I talked about earlier, with Price, Access, Knowledge, we've now cut the price of us to come analyze a home and do testing for you by 80%, probably. It's unbelievable, right? Yet you still get the targeted source identification testing, Right? This is the cool thing. Most test kits that you get, whether it's clinical tests or at home tests, they're all the same test kit, and they send it to you. So if it's a clinical test, hey, pee in this bottle or prick your finger and put your blood in these little things, it's the exact same kit. No matter who you are, if you're a man, you're a woman, you're weigh a certain amount, or you don't weigh a certain amount, or you're whatever you are, it's the same exact kit. This kit, our kit, is never the same, is 100% constructed and customized to your home. And what we saw in your home analysis, which is what makes this thing something that, frankly, is already causing me to get threats from people in our industry. The reason it's happening is because we're basically about to put local inspectors out of business, because why would you go to a local Yelp inspector who's going to Charge you the same amount of money to come to your house and take air samples in the middle of your room when you can pay the same amount of money, work with the best company in the country and get precise pinpoint location of where mold is located in your house instead of an air sample in the middle of a room that doesn't tell you anything. Right. And so I literally have already started getting.
Emails, text mess calls, very threatening kind of calls from people in our industry because they see what's happening. This isn't the first time it happened. It happened when Weinspect really started scaling national. We started getting all these types of flow before. And when that happens, it makes me feel like, oh, we're on the right path. If people are literally calling and threatening us, then what that means is that we're doing something that the consumer, that the clients see as value and they're shifting what they are perceiving as the best option for them to the thing that is truly the best option for them. And when that happens, you take you instead of going over here, you go over there. Right. So the people who are over here, people that are the local, more localized businesses or the light virtual inspectors and consultants that exist in this space too, they don't have the ability to do what we're doing here. Right. Like they don't have 18 months and a whole lot of money built into developing an app ecosystem that will allow us to literally see every single thing that's going on in your house. So that's what's really awesome about this. But the last thing I didn't even mention on the back end of this is that the test kit will come to you. You literally get a test kit, you collect the test yourself, it's super, super easy to do. And then after that, my team again will look at your lab results, analyze your results, and provide you a full on remediation report the same way that we would with our current clients. And in addition to that, it actually prioritizes the areas of highest severity to lowest severity. So we're talking about price savings. It's not just about price on like inspection and testing side of things, but it's also price on remediation. Like if I just sent you, here's the 10 things in your house or the four things in your house or whatever, like which one of those do I need to focus on? I don't really know. I have to do all of them. So now the way that we deliver our reporting and our remediation plans is that we Actually provide severity scores next to each area. So you can literally prioritize the things that you need. And you can be so intentional and strategic about where you're spending your money. Not only on the upfront testing side, but then also on the back end remediation side that we literally are taking a process that used to cost tens and tens of thousands of dollars and cutting it in half, in third in 25%. And that is the future of this industry. The future of this industry is democratizing all of this knowledge and all this access. So anybody can do it. They can do it whenever they want to on their phone super easily. And that's how it can go. And that's what I'm really excited about. That's what we are officially starting to roll out to the public. I'm putting it here first before I put it anywhere else. Because those of you that listen to my show, I just want to thank you first of all and offer it to you beforehand. We do have limited numbers of these test kits that are currently available. So now the next step for us is working on how do we scale the volume of the test kits. So we've had ongoing rolling wait lists for the test kit. So we've offered it and then turned it off and then turned it on and then turned it off again. So we can make sure that we're getting people, other kits in timely manners. So as of now, we have a certain number of kits that are available and they will go over and then you'll get on a wait list and then get the next set. But we're able to recycle them through every like week or two and get them all built for you. And the next plan for us is to be able to cut that down where there's no wait time at all. We're working on that behind the scenes so we could be able to do that for you. But honestly, if you guys are really wanting to work with us, for example, but maybe the cost has been a thing that's been scary for you that you haven't been able to address this 100% just fixes that entire problem, right? If you've been concerned about what if they do come out and find all these things. What do I do for remediation? Remediation is going to be so expensive. This has solved that problem too, because we're now telling you where to focus remediation on, right? Don't do all of it. Do these couple of things. You do this, you're going to get a big impact, right? And that's really what's happening here. And so we're calling it the Mold Locator test kit. That's what it's called right now. If you go to yes. Weinspect.com test kit, it will take you to the page where you can get it, and that's it. So if you go to yesmeinspect.com test kit, you can go to the. Go to the page there. It'll explain the whole process for you. Again, we surround you with a team. You get a coordinator, you get a test kit strategist, and you get a report consultant. That's our report strategist. That's writing your report for you. So I literally put my team around each of you at that point in time so we can deliver you your final report and give you everything that you need. And it walks you through the whole process. So I hope that that little explanation, a little history of where we go, where we came from, where we are now, I hope that it. It excites you as much as it excites me. If you've been on the fence about working with us because you're just maybe concerned about the cost, you're like, I don't want my whole place looked at. I just want to look at a couple things. This solves all of that. So I encourage you, if you're listening to this, right now is something that you're interested in. A lot of people listen to the show. I would encourage you to go to that site, yesmeinspect.com test kit, and start the process then. Now, before we turn it off for a period of time and then turn it back on. So we have this toggle that we're doing right now, but I encourage you guys to do that. This is something. I can't even tell you how excited I am about this. We've been working on it for so long, and it's working so well. It's everything that we knew it was going to be. The people that have been using it have all been really happy with the process, with the flow. It's been really easy. It's been really simple. I've literally been talking to my team, like, every day. Okay. We had these people in. What's the feedback? What do we need to tweak? How do we need to communicate better? How do we need to fix the process better? How do we need to do this? And we've been doing this for six months. Little tiny things. And now we're at the point where I'm Having these calls on my team and they're like, like, everybody's happy. It's going really well. I think expectations are great. We think the process is great. Everyone likes the flow. They feel it's simple. They feel it's easy. They're getting the information they need. It's everything I could have asked for, and it's really what the future of this industry is. And I'm really excited to be at the front of it and helping to push that along. So thank you guys so much for listening. And Last time, yes, we inspect.comtest kit. Go check it out. And I'm excited for you. I'm excited. I'm excited for any of you to come in through here and go through the process. I know that you're going to be happy with not only the ease of it, but also the results, the value that you get out of it, the direction that you get out of it, the actionable information that you get out of it, and the solution and the feel like you've you figured out what's going on, because that's always the thing that our clients tell. So, like, we finally feel like we figured it out, and we have figured out a way internally to take that end result that people feel and put it into this new solution that reduces cost, reduces time, and gets you all the same information. All right, guys, till next time. Talk to you later.
So that's it for today's show, everyone. Thanks so much for tuning in. If you enjoyed the show, please take a moment and subscribe and give a rating wherever you get your podcasts. It'll help spread the word to those who really need it the most.
