Early-stage startups can hire two high-quality developers in Latin America for the cost of one in the US, doubling output. Speed matters most for AI startups now. Building proprietary algorithms takes too long when companies can use ChatGPT instead.

When I think about an early-stage startup and I only have so much runway to go around, my capital's limited. I know I can't afford those. And so for the money that I might set aside for somebody in the United States, I can get 2 really amazing developers down in Latin America and get twice as much done just as fast. So the way I look at it is when it comes to like implementing AI, you have to be like really fast to market because again, we're training algorithms and that's if we're not just kind of like piggybacking off of like ChatGPT, which a lot of companies are doing right now. You truly want to build a true algorithm. It takes time. And so speed is the name of the game right now.
