How To Heal Your C-PTSD By Understanding Your Timeline and The Void

A visual guide to how unresolved trauma creates a void that expands across your life, triggering the brain's survival mode and leaving you stuck in chronic stress and dissociation. Recognizing these states, naming your feelings, and strengthening mental boundaries can shrink its influence.

Now you're seeing me. Hey, hey, hey! So look, look. We're gonna take a look at the void and how it messes with your brain when you don't have proper boundaries in place from a as much 3D explanation as we can on a 2D surface. So. Let's draw the void, shall we? Actually, let's first start with stick figure you. Here you are. So going back to some of my past videos, you're on your way walking. I don't know, you got a tail there for a second. My mistake. Um, so there, there's stick figure you. And your timeline is out ahead of you. You're walking this path ahead of you. It's not exactly what I wanted, but we're trying to envision that we're going forward. Okay, forward into the wall, basically. Okay, this is your straight and narrow, beautifully organized. Time flow path. If you even want to like get a little bit more of a flow feel, here we go. You're flowing. This is your timeline. This is everything that happens in succession with time. And I'm doing this because I'm a musician, and what musicians are great at doing is organizing sound and time. So if you're imagining this, right, like we have Steady beat each each year, each month, each week. We are in a rhythm of life, right? This is you going on your timeline. Now I want you think to consider this. So what if you get ambushed by something? An unexpected thing happens in your life right as you're on your way, and you. Instead of— okay, stick with me— you, instead of dealing with this thing, going back to the I am statements, going back to your command on your body with your voice, with what you can say over your life, okay? Instead of being like, oh, I— you can use will— I will do things like that as well. I will deal with this, right? You're gonna deal with this right when it happens, because when it comes to the music in your life that you're making, you're organizing your sound and your time. You're in the rhythm and the harmony and the flow of your life. If you don't deal with this right away, what happens? What happens if you do not deal with this right away? Here's the void. It can invade. Your space. Okay, it could happen on this side too, but we'll draw it over here just so that we have it. Oh no, I drew it the wrong way. Oh no, I've been doing it counterclockwise. I don't know if you've been sticking with that, if you've been catching on. It can invade into your timeline. And why is this so dangerous for stick figure you? Because The void, while it holds truth, it holds a lot of. We're gonna just do this for some recap. It holds doubts. It holds worries. It holds lives. What else does it hold? Anxieties. All things. All of these things. That separate you from— take a step, put it on the ground. You can't see me taking a step right now, but you saw the camera move. Okay, take another step, set it on the ground. Okay, this making sense? I hope so. Some gurus and AI folks say to not say that, but you know what, I need to make sure that it's making sense with you. Okay, so for this kind of 3D-ish realm of looking at this now, what does this mean? I'm going to change this up a little bit. If you're on your way, take your notes. I'm changing the— changing the board. What is it? What, what, what, what, what will happen If you are— now we're gonna move stick figure you along the way a little bit. And let's say you didn't deal with it. Here's that event, remember? I'm gonna have to draw the void again. Oops. Void's invading. Here's stick figure you, you're still going, because you decided not to deal with the event that happened 2 months ago, a year ago, 5 years ago. And look, here's the thing, I know that our nervous systems will do this. They will suppress things, shut down automatically, because the threat and the danger around whatever happened Was that threatening to your nervous system of knowing that I'm not safe? Your brain is wired for survival. It's not exactly wired for, like, thriving in life. So this is when conscious living comes into play. It's when you decide, I know I'm in this state of survival, and I don't want to be here anymore. I don't want to be here anymore. Because what's happening with this on your timeline? Let me show you. Here's what's going on. Void's invaded. And because the void holds all those things that we already listed— the worries, anxieties, the fears, the unknowns, right? It's all the unknowns. The unknown is also in front of us, but when we're grounded, it doesn't faze us. It doesn't strike us as threatening because we're grounded. Here's your mind, and I've, I've drawn this before. Your mind spirals back into this spot because this unresolved that is in your mind. Doesn't know what to do. It doesn't know where to go except for back. It doesn't know how to move forward. And so what does this mean this is doing to you and your grounding? Um, it's giving you a lot of probably like awful insecurities in life. It's probably creating a lot of issues in your life, a lot of inconsistencies. Um, a lot of, you know, the dissociations. It's creating a lot of chaos because you have the void freaking invading on a past unresolved experience. And I'll get to this in another video of really getting into those experiences so that you can detach from them, so that you can close this gap that's, you know, now on your timeline with the void. Filling in, but just for the visual, right? With anything unresolved, let's say you have more things, right? You have more things that have happened. For me, I had a lot. I had a lot, a lot, a lot thing of things. And because they were unresolved, you know, I wasn't raised knowing how to deal with emotions. I was just very hyper-aware. Hook back. It's hooked. It's hooked. It's hooked. You're attached to it because you haven't detached from it because you haven't done the work. I need you to do the work. I am so passionate about this because I know what it's like to experience someone who inadvertently tries to communicate with you. you about something they've experienced, and that in turn harms you. It's this monkey chain effect that we all get on of reactivity and chaos, where this one person had something unresolved, so maybe if I communicate in the same way, in the same fashion of the thing that happened to me, maybe, just maybe, someone will finally understand. Problem is, if you're a scapegoated kid like me, adult grown scapegoated kid, or adult childhood trauma survivor, you're a trauma survivor in general. You're someone that was, you know, you've dealt with narcissistic abuse, covert narcissism. If you're one of these people, if you identify, hey, you're not alone. You have been conditioned To reject yourself. You have been conditioned to let everything else invade and take space that has nothing to do with you. These things that happen to you, nothing to do with you. Absolutely nothing. So what do you do then? You get talking, you get vocal, but you also take action. That is the whole purpose and point of the Voice-Led Clarity Method that I build into my program Amplify Your Voice, that I build into my coaching with you, where I show you and teach you how to use this instrument. Because this is an instrument unique to you only. It is your unique instrument. It is as unique as the fingerprints On your fingers. No 2 sets are the same. No 2 voices are the same. So if you don't know how to use this instrument, if you're not in tune with it, what do you think is going to happen if you keep going along your timeline and you keep allowing these unresolved things to go on in your life? Just think what's going to happen. And maybe that's overwhelming for you. I will tell you. I'll tell you what will happen. You know what's going to happen? The void is going to overindulge and consume into your space. Because these things, the longer— basically, it's like the longer that they go on, the void is just getting bigger and bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger and stronger. So if you are allowing that to get the power in your life, Of course it's gonna blur your path going, going forward because this just keeps resonating the longer it goes on in time. Does that make sense? The longer something unresolved goes on throughout time, the longer it exists. It's not closed off. It's not— the tab isn't checked off, like the check mark box isn't checked. So you have an opportunity to change all of this, to end the cycle in your life, and I truly hope you decide to. Speaking from the other side, it is so much better over here. Meaning you— meaning I'm conscious. Meaning I had a suppressed memory. I didn't know what the thing even was, and I uncovered it for myself. I coached myself to find the thing so that I could detach from it. So now what's going on? The one that was the most major thing gone, and because now that's gone, I was able to see this one that was behind it gone. Now I'm catching up. You catch up, and then it's gone, and it's gone, and it's a little vulnerable. Vulnerable. You feel a little raw when you go through this. But you know what happens in the process? Your boundaries get stronger in your mind. They get stronger. And that's all you need. You need to strengthen those boundaries in your mind around your amygdala, your basal ganglia, your prefrontal cortex. Your prefrontal lobes. That's all you need. And the best way to start doing that is just saying, I am feeling this way. Because your feelings, while they communicate and help you identify what it is you are feeling in the present, they are not absolute truth of reality. Okay? There have been times I have felt so down, I have felt so depressed, but am I a depressed person? No. There have been times that I have felt awful about myself, that I'm a terrible— not that I'm a terrible person, but that I'm like disgusted with myself. Does that mean I'm a disgusting person? No. It's because of the things that were there. Making me feel that way because they were unresolved. And then I'm carrying that feeling with me through life, through time. And that's what's creating your reality being all foggy and overshadowed by the void. So I hope you'll click the link below or DM me the word Robin or comment on this post where I will send you a link and we'll get connected.
