This is a YouTube video titled "Adapting with Authority: The Value of Expert Knowledge in Trust Building" containing a monologue or talk discussing the importance of backing up claims with expert knowledge and the challenges faced by public figures or influencers in maintaining credibility. The speaker reflects on adaptability and the 'curse of knowledge' in interviews. The content is from March 18, 2025.
Because I said so is not enough of a reason. It doesn't matter if you have a huge platform or you're just starting out. We always want to back up our claims, and that's how we can sleep at night. At least that's how I sleep at night. And I give myself that grace to change my mind, because I'm adaptable. Right? So I think that what happens to a lot of these people, like the diary of the CEO, is that they have no expert knowledge, and maybe they've gotten so big that somebody else is like, oh, you're gonna love this person. And then they're interviewing them, and they're like, what? What? And that's part of it, too. So there's a curse of knowledge.
