This is a YouTube video titled "Avoid Burnout: How to Break the Routine in Sales Calls" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded in January 2025. Beverley discusses sales call strategies, emphasizing the importance of challenging conversations and avoiding robotic routines to prevent burnout and improve closing rates.
The call really starts at the end. And that doesn't mean that, like, you're going to one call close every person. Sometimes it's not the best to one call close certain people. It's like, that could ruin the sale. But oftentimes when people are in ruts, it's like they're not being aggressive enough. And when I'm. When I'm saying aggressive, I'm not saying, like, you know, you're like, yelling at the prospect and, you know, hard closing them and grinding them into the dirt or something. But it's like having, like, a challenging conversation and challenging their thinking and, like. And, you know, having a conversation that is uncomfortable to, you know, 10 or 20 times. Yeah, somebody might get mad, but usually they don't. You know, it's like people respect you when they challenge them. But a lot of times when, when people, like, you gotta think from the closer's perspective. You know, they're taking eight or ten calls a day. Every single day. Every single day. Every single day. Every single day. And so they kind of get through this, like, robotic kind of going through the motions type of thing, and it's exhausting. So they start to conserve energy and then sort of just like they, they, they, they settle for, oh, follow up. Oh, pipeline. Oh, follow up. Oh, pipeline. I think these people are gonna come in. They don't come in.
