This is a YouTube video titled "Breaking the Diet Cycle Achieving Balanced Nutrition" containing a monologue or single-speaker discussion recorded in June 2025. The speaker explains dietary behaviors related to calorie deficits, bingeing, and the psychological benefits of reverse dieting to help individuals achieve balanced nutrition and avoid common pitfalls in dieting.
Because you know how it is. Women like to go in diets for, like, four days out of the week, five days out of the week, and then the weekend either blows them out of the water and no longer puts them in a calorie deficit, or they come home from work and they're like, snapping, bingeing, and then that puts them out of a calorie deficit. So when you have someone who's, like, trying to hit 1300 and then they're binging, by giving them 1800, which is what their sustained deficit should be, they're able to feel more satisfied and put more meals together, and they don't have those cravings or those binging behaviors, so they start to see that pattern. So we're like, okay, you can eat this much. The other ones who are very afraid to eat more, we go slow. Like, I know there's no data behind reverse dieting, but psychologically, there is a benefit to reverse dieting. So we increase it slow and over time to get them comfortable with it, and then they will trust the. You know, they understand the process and start to trust it more as they see the results, and we build momentum.
