This is a YouTube video titled "Challenges of Coaching Different Age Groups" containing a monologue or talk from July 29, 2025, discussing the apprehensions coaches may have when training different age groups, particularly older adults, and the perceived risks involved. The speaker reflects on personal experiences as a trainer over the past decade.
I think that there's apprehension for coaches. I won't speak. I won't speak for all coaches, but I know for me, when I was first starting out as a trainer, when I, you know, 10 years ago, I had apprehension around, you know, just like I did with pregnant women or postpartum women, is I don't want to break anyone. Like, what are the life changes that are different? I don't want to hurt someone. Right. It felt, at least for me, through my bias lens, it felt, felt for me, that there was more at stake for someone who was older than someone who was like 22 or 30 lifting for the first time. For me, there felt less. I felt less precious around it.
