This is a YouTube video titled "Do personality tests really know you" containing a monologue or presentation by Beverley Simpson recorded in December 2024. Beverley discusses the use of personality tests in coaching, emphasizing that these tests are not meant to categorize people but to establish a baseline for personalized questioning and understanding.
And that's absolutely true. And so the one thing I caution against any time I share the way that we implement some of these personality stuff into figuring people out and personalizing their experience is that we are, and this is the mistake of a lot of personality tests. We are not categorizing people. We are not categorizing them or making presumptions about them. Ultimately, what we're doing with the way that we measure these personality tests in our program is we're establishing a baseline. And that baseline then informs us, or whoever the coach is working with that individual, what types of questions to ask them, to then figure out what we need to know. So that's probably the most important thing, is that this is just the starting process of knowing what information to gather.
