This is a YouTube video titled "Finding boundaries for growth" containing a discussion between two speakers about balancing health and discipline, particularly in the context of pushing physical limits versus recovery. The conversation explores how to navigate boundaries related to health and performance.
So now I'm curious. We talked earlier about boundaries and pushing the boundary of capacity. How do you navigate binding? What is that line of like at all costs down the shame spiral, going to the gym with the flu versus putting yourself on the hook and practicing flexible discipline? How do you find that boundary for you and for your coaches and their clients?
Comes back to that the one big word. Excuse me, health. Health is the main thing that we're selling and or dealing with. Health is the foundation of everything we and the principles within that. But health is that foundation. Like we're chasing down health, right? So if you got the flu or something else, we're not in a healthy state, what do you actually need? We need to recover, right? So along that spectrum, there's times where it needs to drive hard and there's times where we need to put the brake on and actually balance out. So we talk about that sympathetic parasympathetic fight or flight rest and digest.
