This is a YouTube video titled "Have you been working hard enough?" containing a discussion between two speakers about the benefits of varying physical activity and allowing the body downtime to recover, recorded on October 10, 2023. The speakers explore the idea of shifting focus between different types of exercise to avoid burnout.
Do you ever think that there is like a benefit to having a prolonged, you know, downtime for the body to recover? Or do you think that it can be as, you know, go hard however you want?
I think that you can go hard in different areas. I think that you need to shift focus sometimes, you know, so if you just go hard all the time at running, you're gonna run into the ground eventually. But you can take, you know, an extended period of time and reduce your running and say, increase your strength training or increase your cycling or swimming or something else. Because a lot of people I work with, they're like, I need to do something. They're like very driven. Like, I need an activity. So but shifting, just shifting that activity for a little bit and giving your body a little bit of break I think is beneficial.
