This is a YouTube video titled "How to build lean muscles perimenopause" containing a discussion between two speakers about exercises and their effects on lean muscle mass building, focusing on the benefits and limitations of common workout routines. The speakers analyze how different exercises impact muscle growth and joint health over time.
Okay, so in this vein, what are some of the, what are some of the exercises that we typically see that people typically do that are actually counteracting their lean muscle mass building?
Yeah. So if somebody's going from zero to anything, they're probably going to build a little bit of lean muscle like any group class that you jump into, whether it's Pilates, orange theory, anything like that. If you're going off the couch, you're going to experience great benefits. That being said, a lot of exercises differentiate in their expiration date. And what I mean by that is the toll that it takes on your joints and the amount of stimulus it provides you to get what you want out of it. So if you're doing lunge to curl, to press, you will experience a little bit of muscle building in the first few weeks of doing that. But eventually when you can press no or when you can lunge, no problem.
