This is a YouTube video titled "How to get your book published" containing a monologue or talk from May 11, 2024, discussing insights and experiences related to the publishing industry, including self-publishing and educating authors about the process. The speaker shares personal learning and observations about publishing but no indication of multiple speakers or Beverley Simpson's involvement.
So what's interesting with publishing? Publishing, you know, the publishing world's interesting. And what's been fun for me in this, like, kind of career path I've taken is like, number one, learning about it, but then just helping, kind of educating other people. Like, oftentimes when I get on calls with authors, they're just like, I know nothing about publishing. And I'm like, I don't blame you. I didn't either. You're like, I'm still learning how things work. And Dan John. Well, I can't remember is he. He went through Dragon Door publishing, which I think it's basically self published. So that's one of the inspective things where. So if you self publish, it's all on you, you get no help.
