This is a YouTube video titled "How to Help Women Get Healthy After Birth with Dr. Sarah Duvall" featuring Dr. Sarah Duvall discussing postpartum health, specifically addressing myths about listening to one's body after childbirth and the risks of doing too much too soon during recovery, including prolapse issues. The content is a monologue or talk focused on postpartum wellness.
So this is amazing, actually, because it kind of leads me to this myth that I think we hear both in pregnancy and postpartum, which is listen to your body. Where, you know, your body knows what it. Okay. No, no, no. The second time I would tell my. If I could go back and tell myself, I would say, do not listen to your body. Your body is wrong. Wanted to go work out, and I wanted to do stuff, and I wanted to climb, and I felt great, and it was not good at the time. And I think it additionally contributed to the prolapses that I experienced postpartum by doing too much too soon. Because you're in this great healing window. And I'm happy to share. I'm a very about that because I know a lot of postpartum women that are athletes deal with prolapse, and it's not something that's always talked about, but yeah. So I think it. You're in this great kind of healing window postpartum. And I think I'd made things worse. I took what was a grade one prolapse, and I pushed it into a grade two because I did too much too soon.
