This is a YouTube video titled "How to squat" containing a discussion between two speakers about squat techniques, body mechanics, and personal squat challenges. The conversation focuses on how using weights can help improve squat form and control. The speakers are not identified as Beverley Simpson.
So if I give you like a goblet squat. So for instance, if you tell someone just to give me a body weight squat, they may not be able to drop it like it's hot all the way down.
Mine is super hinging.
Give them, give them a kettlebell or something. Give them a 10 pound plate and watch them get a little bit lower. Because now they're able to control that. There's something that's telling them, hey, I need to offset this natural force here. Whatever gravity is pulling me somewhere, I need to offset that and control this. So I'm not leaning forward or falling over, whatever, right? So I need to control that. And now I should feel a little bit better coming down into that position.
I mean, this kind of reminds me of me, right? So I have like the hinges squat, I'm super wide and I have like a little tiny pelvis. So like I can't squat like it's funny.
How long do you have? Long femurs?
Do I have long femurs? No. No, I don't think long, no.
