This is a YouTube video titled "How to successfully be yourself on the internet" containing a monologue or talk recorded on April 21, 2023. The speaker discusses the journey of self-awareness, overcoming people-pleasing behaviors, and using personal branding and content creation as tools for authentic self-expression. The content focuses on personal development and creating meaningful content rather than chasing trends.
But that takes a knowledge of self, at least a working knowledge of self. And to even start to do that work, you have to believe, like, you sort of deserve to even take up any of this space, which takes acknowledging that you're doing the people pleasing in the first place, which then also takes stopping doing the people pleasing, which then takes you going like, why the fuck am I doing any of this? And what parts of myself am I hiding? So I realized that this, like, people pleasing to personal branding pipeline was like this perfect way to touch everything and ultimately help people human better be themselves more authentically and use content as the manifestation of said personal brand, but also the iterative tool by which you can even figure out who the fuck you are. And so that brings us to, like, where we are today. And I think that if we can work on personal branding today and help content and building content and content that feels really good to actually create and doesn't take three hours and you can find ideas all around you, it's more beneficial than trends. While a trend might get you that reach like, this is how we'll know who you are.
