This is a YouTube video titled "Hybrid Coaching Models: Combining Online and In Person Techniques" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded in March 2025. Beverley discusses the importance of developing in-person coaching skills before transitioning to or combining with online coaching, emphasizing real-time feedback and hybrid coaching approaches.
We need to find ways to deal with what you're doing with those soft skills and I can make those decisions in a split second just by seeing how you want to. So that kind of stuff I can't do online because I don't get that real time immediate feedback. So when people are like I want to go and become an online coach, cool. Spend a couple of years coaching people first in person and then get really good at that stuff so you at least have a frame of reference and that experience is going to help to dictate what you do with your online coaching. And it might be something where you move entirely online or you do a hybrid model of in person and online, which is a great way to do it because then you stay up with a foot in both worlds. But definitely, definitely learn how to coach somebody in person real time first and then you can learn how to coach people better. What.
