This is a YouTube video titled "Overcome Chronic Pain Revolutionary Brain and Vision Exercises for Mobility" featuring Beverley Simpson discussing the approach of Western medicine to pain and her alternative methods focusing on brain-based root causes of pain, including examples related to military research on pain perception.
The way Western medicine works is we're going to scan it, we're going to diagnose it, and then it's on to things like either shots, surgery, physical therapy or medicine. Right. What I like to do is give my clients options that help them get out of pain, that they're addressing more of the root cause from the brain. Right. So one of the, one of the examples that we use all the time is when people get shot. So they'll report like they have lots of this research with military, they will get shot and they'll have a bullet that is either in their tissue or has gone through their tissue. Right. So there's definitively tissue damage. Right. But then they will ask them was it painful when you got shot? And they will report oftentimes that it didn't hurt when they got shot. Now if pain is 100% of the time an output of the brain, we have to start thinking about why would your brain not seeing a pain signal when you've gotten shot?
