This is a YouTube video titled "Overcoming beliefs for lasting change" featuring Beverley Simpson discussing common psychological obstacles such as all-or-nothing thinking and shame that hinder lasting behavioral change, particularly related to eating habits. The content is a monologue or talk rather than a multi-speaker conversation.
The biggest obstacles become their beliefs Honestly if they get into and and I'm just going to name a few of them this all or nothing perfect fail type of thinking so they believe well if I don't I've been taught to eat this way and if I'm not eating this way I'm bad. They make it very they have a lot of shame about this action of eating and that then puts them back in a pattern of well then if I can't do it perfectly I might as well not do it at all and then they start to you know eat whatever they want we won't call it a binge but they'll they'll emotionally eat or overindulge and then they get to a point where their body feels like shit or maybe they've put on some weight and then they repeat the pattern right and so they know we can google how to do this stuff we can google how to eat in a calorie defic.
