This is a YouTube video titled "PCOS Remission: Genetic Predisposition and Lifestyle Changes" containing a monologue or talk discussing the nature of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) as a metabolic syndrome with genetic predisposition, and how lifestyle changes can lead to remission of symptoms. The speaker shares clinical observations about improving fertility and pregnancy outcomes in women with PCOS. The content is educational and focused on health and wellness.
So pcos, there's a lot of controversy on the Internet of whether it's in remission or whether it's reversible. I personally think it is remission versus remiss versus reversible because it is a metabolic syndrome. It is something that is has a genetic predisposition. So some women are just more prone to it than others. And you have to sustain these lifestyle habits to sustain the disease state, but you can reverse all symptoms. So it kind of goes hand in hand. Like, I have a handful of clients who have come in, we've gotten, you know, their A1Cs back down to optimal range. We've gotten regular cycles off of birth control, which is almost sometimes unheard of with pcos. We've gotten them pregnant when fertility was not something they were doing. We've gone through healthy pregnancies without gestational diabetes, which they're at increased risk for before we've had regular healthy babies. So these are things that women with PCOS don't have the luxury of just like doing or having. Like fertility is much harder. Healthy pregnancies are much harder. Low birth weight babies or normal birth weight babies are harder for pcos. Women.
