This is a YouTube video titled "Shocking truth about coaches and mental health in the diet industry" containing a monologue or single-speaker discussion from June 4, 2023, addressing the scope of practice for coaches, the importance of referrals to registered dietitians, and the intersection of mental health and disordered eating in the context of intuitive eating.
So it's interesting that you bring this up, because I do want to talk about this, because it kind of alludes to scope of practice. And you hear a lot of coaches talking about how, you know, if you're not a registered dietitian, then make sure you refer out, because there's only so much you can do. You cannot treat meal plan, blah, blah, blah. Right. And then I'm curious in just in terms of, like, mental health, because when we start dealing with food, we're also inevitably discussing disordered eating. Potentially. We're. And which is where this whole, like, intuitive eating came from. Right. Is this. We're discussing disordered eating, and we're also discussing, you know, mental health.
