Split screen skits, but you don’t feel techy? Try this.

This is a YouTube video titled "Split screen skits, but you don’t feel techy? Try this." featuring Beverley Simpson providing a detailed tutorial on how to create split-screen video sketches using a smartphone and video editing app CapCut. The content is instructional and focuses on practical steps for filming and editing multi-character videos.
Want to do a fun sketch like this, but you don't feel techy and not sure what to do. Bookmark this post. This one's for you. Put up your camera recording. Make sure that your grid is on and then also your levels are on. If you need help with that, let me know. The first thing you want to do is make sure you have the wide angle lens on. So you're going to go to 0.5 so that you can get most of the area that you're going to be filming in. Next up, make sure that you have the two spots for the location for where the characters are going to come in. Make sure that you have that very clearly laid out for where they're going to be. And then here is going to be a line for me right on the map where I know that one character is not going to cross over. Now for you, you could also use things in the background to also help you like. But for me, right now, for the purposes of this recording, it's going to be here inside of these two shots. So this side is character one and this side will be character two. So make sure that you have character one all sorted. Outfit one, the lines that you want to do. Okay, now dress Character two. Character two is going to stand here and deliver all of my lines. Character two. Character two. So you get your two clips. You're going to hit cap cut. You're going to open new project and you're going to select person A. And then you're going to select person B. Add it to the timeline. Now you'll notice that both clips are on the timeline. So you're going to select one and you're going to hit overlay. Overlay. We're going to take this ending out. We're going to move this clip all the way underneath just like that so that it's lined up in the way that you want it to be lined up like that. Okay? And then what we're going to do is we're going to select and split off the pieces that you don't want. And what we're going to do is we are going to add a mask. So now that we have the overlay, we are going to add a mask. Mask. And we're going to select horizontal. And we're going to use our fingers to rotate it. Okay, now you're going to see I'm going to select these two to feather it out. Okay. And we're going to hit play. Good to go. And then you export the clip and you're good.
