This is a YouTube video titled "The first year of business and what you might be doing wrong." It features a single speaker discussing the challenges entrepreneurs face in their first year, emphasizing the importance of mindset work alongside strategy to avoid quitting prematurely. The content is motivational and aimed at new business owners.
In the first few years of your business, at least the first year, I'll say, when you're just starting, you're like, I'm a sponge. I need to soak up all the strategy I need to learn. I don't need mindset. I'll get to that. I just need the strategy. Just give it to me. And something we do in our program that's more for beginners is we have a resident mindset coach. Because a couple weeks in, after that exciting momentum of starting something new wears off, and the, oh, this is hard, and this takes work, and I feel like I'm getting beaten down every day kicks in, they start to realize, oh, is this for me? And that's. If you don't do the mindset work at that point, that's where people quit. And it's really unfortunate because I've seen so many promising entrepreneurs who, if they embraced that mindset work, they would have succeeded. They would have gotten past that tough place. It's almost that image of that person hitting that tool against the brick to find the gold, and he quits right before he finds the gold. And that's what I see happening so much when people don't do the mindset.
