This is a YouTube video titled "The power of tailored questions" containing a conversation involving Beverley Simpson and another speaker discussing the design of a personality intake survey for an online program, focusing on balancing thoroughness with user engagement. The discussion took place in December 2024.
Is it going to be true? So what we did because we didn't want to give on top of all the other information we gather, exercise history, medical history, their goals, their etc. Especially being an online program, we need to know what equipment they have access to, et cetera, et cetera. We didn't want to give them a 56 question survey at the end.
Yeah, we didn't want to lower the barrier of entry but at the same time this is when they're the most excited regardless of all their personality.
So we basically decided to split the difference. We're going to take three and again we pulled our statements directly from that validated survey to try to maintain some level of accuracy. So we pulled three for each personality trait. They decided whether they agreed or disagree and then we basically evaluated when they sent us the intake form. Now again we understand that this is not the full validated survey. We know.
