This is a YouTube video titled "The power of urgency" containing a monologue or talk recorded on February 15, 2024, discussing the psychological impact of urgency and deadlines on decision-making and buying behavior. The speaker explains how people respond to limited-time offers and deadlines to motivate action, contrasting this with evergreen models that lack such urgency.
But why it's powerful is because urgency. You need urgency. So when you're in a launch a deadline of open closed doors, very powerful. Ever notice like look at how you make buying decisions. You're buying decisions. People wait for the sales and sales are limited. People wait for clearance people people like I think, you know, I know I'm going to take my kids to Disney on Ice. I take them every year and then one year, you know but I I never rarely buy it on the first day tickets go on sale. It's usually the day of ever been in a gym and it's like the last day of the month but the only difference is that one's a Monday, one's a Tuesday. It's arbitrary sense of deadline. Human beings need a reason to make a decision now. And if you are doing an evergreen model like me then you're appealing to inner urgency which is a hang of a lot harder than deadlines.
