This is a YouTube video titled "The Real Reason Why Trainers See Each Other as Competition" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded on June 11, 2023. Beverley discusses the challenges of building connections in the fitness industry, particularly the competitive dynamics among trainers and the value of live events for networking and idea sharing.
And like you were saying with the, with the in person events, like when we, when I moved down here, I didn't know anybody, so I didn't, I didn't have any, any connection to, to a specific group of people I could bounce ideas off of or even, you know, in the gym. There's a lot of times people would see the other trainer, the new guy coming in as more competition than colleague because they're going to be pulling from the same client pool. So that's another one of the reasons why I liked the live events, because there's a lot of people with like minded mindsets there and you can actually hear some ideas without feeling like you're, you know, in a bubble of competition altogether. You're there for the reason everyone wants to succeed and grow.
