This is a YouTube video titled "The Shocking Truth About Product Reviews What You Didn t Know" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded on May 21, 2023. Beverley discusses her approach to product reviews, emphasizing adding personality and transparency to the review process, drawing on her background as a coach and athlete to provide deeper context beyond typical affiliate-driven reviews.
So my whole idea is to kind of, like, elevate the review game in the sense that we need to start, I think, including more personality into these reviews. We need to actually start showing what we're doing and giving more of a look behind the curtains into, like, how we're testing things, how we're actually reviewing things, what we're doing with the physical product, because I'm super frugal and with how many different options there are now, which is awesome because there are so many small businesses, it's really difficult to find the right product. And so, by tying my coaching background, basically, and my background as an athlete, and then bridging what I know in the reviews game, because I've been reviewing shoes now for over five years, it's been really fun to kind of help shine more context into this world that is constantly abused by these big media companies just trying to make affiliate money.
