This is a YouTube video titled "The struggle of bridging the disconnect" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded in February 2024. Beverley discusses the challenges of building trust with clients, allowing them to learn from failure, and aligning their expectations with reality, emphasizing the importance of implementation beyond just theoretical knowledge.
And so the struggle with that from my side is building that trust, getting the client to trust me. And sometimes that even means letting them fail. It's like, okay, you think that that's going to work? I think this is going to happen. But go do it and then report back and let's see what happens. You know, most of the time I'm more or less correct. And they're like, ah, you were right. How did you know that was going to happen? It's like, well, it's my job to know that that was going to happen. And then. So therefore we build that trust and now we can, we can align what they think they're doing with what's actually happening. And that is the biggest, the struggle. The, the hows and the how to exercise and the how to eat. That's all relatively simple and like, it's a very googleable knowledge. Right? They don't need me just for that. It's how to implement it. So again, just marrying the appearance in reality.
