What's the difference between thumb over the bar, under the bar? I love putting my thumb over the bar. Like, I just feel good. I feel comfortable. It feels good to me. What a lot of people say is that when you have your thumb under the bar, it can help to activate your lats a little bit better. You're also like, more secure. The grip's more, you know, it's just more secure in the ball. Ball bar. And if you are trying to maybe get a muscle up later on for like a lot of crossfitters, they always say that it's like you want your thumb under the bar because later on your muscle up would be you turning under. But there's no like real study saying, like, what's technically right and wrong. So you literally could do whatever feels comfortable for you. I always have my clients try a little bit of both. Like, try it with your hand over the bar. Try your thumbs under the bar. Let's just see how it feels. Sometimes this is uncomfortable at first. Like, cool. Do a few here, a few there, and just kind of mess around with it. How do you do your pull ups over the bar? Over? Yeah.
