This is a YouTube video titled "The Vanity Trap What Fitness Coaches Wont Tell You About Social Media Success" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded on June 18, 2023. Beverley discusses the pitfalls of focusing on social media vanity metrics like followers and likes, emphasizing the importance of genuine engagement and sustainable success for fitness coaches.
Just get clear and be honest with yourself about what's actually happening. Yeah. Amen. And that's why I call out a lot of the fitness coaches that I work with, because I'm like, all of. All you care about is like, oh, my, getting more followers. Am I getting more likes? And I'm like, not that again. That's not inherently bad. But if that's all we're stressing over, I'm like, you're setting yourself up for failure. Like, you are setting yourself up for a long road of just disappointment. Which is why I think influencers are getting weeded out. Because, sure, they have millions of followers. They certainly don't have millions of dollars in the bank. Like, it's. It's all vanity. It is. All of it is. It's. It's all vanity. And I think a lot of people, they chase that because they think that's the epitome of success. And like, what you said, the least. The least engaged posts for you bring you in the most revenue or bring you in the most. And I think from a vanity perspective, when you look at that, you're like, oh, that's not doing well. But on the back end, you're like, nope, it's crushing.
