This is a YouTube video titled "The Whole Brain Approach to Pain Management with Trent McEntire" containing a discussion between two speakers about the benefits of a whole brain approach in improving recovery and sensory function, recorded on November 16, 2022. The conversation focuses on how addressing sensory deficits can lead to faster and more lasting recovery outcomes.
So now, what are some of the biggest differences that you have noticed when people use the whole brain approach?
Oh, recovery is dramatically faster. Yeah. It's like with without that, we could do the same leg exercises, the same breathing, the same abdominal, the same arms over and over and over again. But turns out the problems in the eyes, with their tracking, with the range of motion, with their convergence, and you're not going to improve because your eyes are trumping everything else and giving you bad information. So your compensations are coming from weakness in your senses. And so we can get changes to happen very quickly that last, because once you get the senses on board and you reinforce them, it's powerful. And your brain's like, okay. And typically, there's a big deficit there. So you're filling in a pretty significant deficit that's just constantly informing compensation.
