This is a YouTube video titled "Uncovering the Surprising Truth About Personal Training Clients" containing a monologue or talk from June 10, 2023, discussing the challenges personal trainers face when working with beginner clients and emphasizing the importance of listening and building connections rather than immediate correction.
And so it helped me kind of relate to not knowing how to do certain things, which a lot of the clients that I have, they're either beginners and don't know how to exercise at all or don't know the difference between barbells and kettlebells and dumbbells. So there's a big, like, big learning curve that I had that helped me kind of relate to the clients that I. That I work with. I think the most important thing is just to listen to your clients, especially when they come into you for the first time. Most of them are going to be uncomfortable. They don't exactly know who you are right away, and it tends to kind of put them off a little bit when you go and tell them that they have all sorts of things wrong with them or they do things wrong. So it's like not to really approach it from a perspective of you correcting everything they're doing in the initial sessions. It's kind of just listening, creating a connection to the people you're going to be working with. I see.
