This is a YouTube video titled "Weight loss and muscle loss" containing a monologue or talk discussing myths about muscle loss during weight loss. The speaker shares clinical observations about protein intake and strength training helping maintain or gain muscle, debunking exaggerated claims of muscle loss. The content appears to be informative and focused on health and fitness.
Whatever. But okay, a lot of the time people are like, if you go on these, you're going to lose all your muscle, right? Like you hear this huge percentage of muscle loss and it's like really sensationalized. Okay. I will tell you from having a clinical practice and doing body composition testing with people that if they are getting enough protein, which again, nothing superhuman, right? Like I can give like rough numbers, but again, it's like, again it's weight based and things like that. But usually for women, you know, 30 grams three times a day. For men, 30 grams four times a day. Again we just based on their size, but, and, and how much they're working out, if they're getting their protein and they are getting strength training, like 10 minutes three times a week or 30 minutes once a week, like it's nothing, Nothing super hard, right? Do you know that they are all either maintaining or gaining? So this whole myth of, of you know, oh, it's going to be 30, muscle loss 40, all these things like, I don't know where they're getting it from. I'm not seeing it clinically.
