This is a YouTube video titled "What is the paradox of time?" containing a monologue by Beverley Simpson recorded in December 2023. Beverley discusses the concept of time as both an illusion and a practical necessity, exploring the paradox between the subjective experience of time and its objective measurement, particularly in the context of business growth and trust-building.
So let's just go through the paradox or the contradiction. Number one, people will say time is an illusion. There's no such thing as time. So we've got the theory, the relativity of time, right? Which is that if you touch a stove for two minutes, it's going to feel a hang of a lot different than hanging out with your friends for two minutes now while the actual passing of the seconds remains because that's how we, we measure the passing of time. While that is true, the experience of what happened and transpired is going to feel very different, right? So it's this idea and concept that time is an illusion. And then we also, on the other hand, have like, growing a business takes time. You need time. It takes time. We have to build time to build, know, like and trust. Oh, my gosh. I always just growl when I hear that.
