This is a YouTube video titled "Winning Sales Strategies: The Essential Guide to Persuasion" featuring Beverley Simpson discussing key sales techniques. Beverley explains the concept that every sales call involves two sales: first, getting the client bought into the idea or methodology, and second, handling the logistics. The content focuses on persuasion strategies and references sales principles from Jordan Belfort.
So there's two sales in every sales call. So the first thing is I need to get them bought in on, like, my thesis or my methodology. And also like the plan. Like whatever, you know, sales call I'm having, whether it's helping somebody start a business, helping somebody lose ways, helping somebody get, you know, dates, or helping somebody, you know, add a certain type of software, it's all about the idea. You know, that's like 80% of it is I got to get them sold on the idea. That's why, you know, Jordan Belfort in his sales book, what he talks about is like, one of his objection handles is, you know, he's selling somebody on the stock and a certain investment, but if they give an objection, he's like, yeah, that makes sense. No problem. But let me ask you, like, what do you think about the idea? Do you like the idea? You know, that's exactly. So. So it's. It's kind of a, you know, good, good conclusions are corroborated. It's. It's very similar type of thing that he's doing there. So you got to get them bought in on the idea or the thesis of what's the plan of getting them from A to B. Then the rest of it really, at that point is logistics.
