This is a YouTube video titled "You Wont Believe What We Forgot About Resilience as We Grew Up" containing a motivational talk or monologue recorded on June 17, 2023. The speaker reflects on the concept of resilience, contrasting the determination of toddlers learning to walk with adult complacency and the tendency to give up or complain when faced with challenges.
But you don't see a toddler being like, oh, I'm just going to quit. It's like, where did we go wrong from being a toddler to getting up, standing over again and like, having resiliency and being strong and like, figuring it out to then just becoming complacent to where we're at right now and just accepting mediocrity. Like, I'm just going to sit here and complain and moan. Like, you learned how to walk, right? You had to fall so many times, but now when it's 20, 22 and you're a, you're a big boy, big girl now, and now all of a sudden, something doesn't go your way, you want to pout and just sit and complain. What. What happened to that? That's what. That's my question. Sure, you probably cried and hit your knee when you were a baby. So what? You had some bruises, right? You had some, some, some learning scars. Because you, like, you scraped your knee when you felt. When you fell on your bike, doesn't mean you didn't go get up and try again, right?
