I'm Dave Hamilton and I'm out here in Lafayette, California. Happy Friday I day.
Happy Friday I yeah, for sure.
Yes, yes. Been a good week. We're taking care of business every day active every day. Taking care of. Somebody should write a song called Take Care of Business.
You know it's funny you say that. I, I didn't pull it out of here but I did have the idea of sharing how I have been messing around with writing songs with Suno AI.
Oh, I don't know what that is.
Yeah, it's a, it's a cool little thing. I'll see if I can quickly pull an example out to play later in this episode or maybe in next week's episode. I don't know.
Yeah, that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's fun so to, to be revisited for sure.
Yeah, I love that, that sounds good today. You know I, I for a while I've been thinking like last week I talked about my replit experience where building an app based on I just want emails and have it categorized expenses and income and all that kind of stuff. And so as we were getting ready for to record these episodes I was like, you know, I've wanted to do this and have it AI analyze my credit card statement and maybe a bank statement and get some feedback on that. And I think, you know, it's pretty interesting. So right before the show I uploaded one of my credit card statements which is kind of, which is kind of interesting.
Scary.
Yeah. And I said based on a. Oh no, what did I. Where's my, where's the prompt? Oh, I said analyze this credit card statement. Tell me what I'm spending the most money on, what may be a waste of money or something I'm paying for that I'm not aware of because you know, there's services that'll go out and find subscriptions that you've forgot about, you know, and I put everything on a credit card. Every bill, every expense I can possibly put on the credit card. I do it.
Oh, yeah.
Everything I want. This is a. This is a JetBlue card, since we travel on their routes, so we want points for every single thing. And so, you know, you might as well, you know, get over a million points a year. So you might as well, you know, do whatever you do. But one of the things is interesting, you know, travel and dining very high this month, Dave. Because I went on vacation.
Yeah, I was just going to say. You were. Yes, I know. I've seen this pattern.
All of a sudden I was like, wait a minute, wait a minute. And because I'm looking at the restaurants, I'm like, oh, I was gone. We were out of the. Into this. And then. But the. The other high one that I'm not surprised, but I'm going to dig in deeper was business tools and SaaS software as a service. Oh, subscriptions, $1143, Dave.
Seems like a lot every month.
Yes, every month is my so. And it lists Kajabi Slack Zoom Loom, G Suite Remote lock, which is. Controls our vacation rentals. Paddle. For my Hype Fury. We had the pad. Didn't we have Paddle Guy on years ago?
I think so.
We did. We had, like, one of the founders of Paddle on the show.
Yeah.
And, oh, Eversight is in the list, too, because of course, you know, of course I've paid very important.
Well, that's 399 of your. Of your 1100 right there.
Yeah, yeah. Crucial because they run all my online, you know, exposure. And then FreshBooks, which I just canceled because I created that app in Replit. But so next month, Fresh Books will be gone, but Replit will be here. So pretty interesting. But lists out, you know, even breaks out all my Amazon purchases. I spent $685 on Amazon last month.
Yeah, not surprising.
Kind of interesting. Doesn't seem that bad. Have you ever done the thing where you asked it to give you a total breakdown on every dollar you've ever spent on Amazon?
Asked Amazon to do that.
Ask Amazon. Yeah, no, it'll tell you it's pretty good. I'll. I'll break it down and we'll do it on a future episode.
Interesting.
Shock you. Yeah, it'll go up and it'll. It takes a little while. Of course, it goes out and seeks and, you know, comes. Comes back and tells you how Much you spent since 1990, whatever, when they came out or, you know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's. It's a lot. It's a lot anyway, and I think it's kind of cool. So then I said, well, what about. So it did break down potential waste or overlooked expenses. And I see there's a couple of subscriptions here. I did not know that I have. Yeah. That I had that I'm going to audit. It says in it and one of the categories it says calls Amazon overlord overload. It says not overlord. Even though maybe that should be it.
Yeah, right.
Frequent small purchases across several days in cards. These add up to nearly $700 this month. That's good. Oh yeah. And then I had. Oh, I had a large fee for my ex premium because I paid an annual fee.
Oh, okay. Just to get a cheaper monthly fee, but yes. Yep, yep.
Cheaper. And luckily I made, you know, my whole. Well, I don't. I'm. I'm. I feel good when my ex creator earnings are higher than my, you know, fees. Yeah. And usually that's. That's the case. Yeah. So yeah, it was kind of cool. General observations. It's like, oh, you've paid off your balance every month, there's no interest, yada yada yada. And then the, Then I said, okay, well, how about this? What if I uploaded my bank statement just to kind of see.
Sure.
You know what? They kind of did the same thing. Broke down here's income transfer, some stripe transfers from Kajabi, internal transfers between accounts, what you made X Corp payments, Gumroad payments. Pretty cool tribe. All that kind of stuff. And anyway, I thought it was kind of. I think it's. It's pretty cool. And what I. I'm going to start doing this on a regular basis. I'm not too worried about my privacy if you are. I guess you could just cut the top off of your. Your statement. I don't even think it has the numbers on them anymore.
No, they definitely don't. Yeah, well, I mean, look, please don't trust us. We're just a bunch of stupid Jordan. A bunch of lazy podcasters.
Speak for yourself, Dave. Yeah, but anyway, gave some recommendations about auditing and all this kind of stuff, and I just think this is exactly the type of thing I want the AI to do. It did it in just a couple of minutes and I'd be curious if you've ever done it. Feedback at BusinessBrain show.
I'm curious if this would be a use. You mentioned all your subscriptions. You know, there's those services and we've had them sponsor the show like, you know, Rocket Money or whatever that'll. That'll go out and cancel your. Your unnecessary subscriptions for you. I wonder if this is a use case for the. The chat GPT Pro. Right. With the agents. Would they go out and after I fed it this and it asked me, hey, which of these subscriptions do you want to keep? Great. Keep these. Off you go now. Go cancel the rest for me. Like that. I want.
Let's ask it.
Yeah, man. Yeah.
Can I have an agent cancel some of these subscriptions for me? Let's see what it says. It says here, of course we know it lies. Yeah. Oh, no, there's another one that's pro is apparently what I get. What's the next level up?
Oh, yeah, whatever it is. I thought plus is what you and I have. Unless you're already paying for pro subscribing.
Yeah, it says pro, but I'm only paying $20. Yeah.
Then that's not the one. Whatever the.
Yeah, whatever the. 200 per month. Yeah.
Whatever levels.
Yeah. Can it do it? Let's see. Well, I don't think it's gonna come back.
It's not going to let us know. Yeah. Plus is what we have.
Oh, you're right. It's just pro. Yeah. What the pro gets you, but the pro cannot do. Cancel your subscriptions. No.
Okay. Well, hey, at least. Well, it might not be correct, but at least it is confident. So there you go.
Yes, that's true.
All right. I. This is. This is great. I. I have so many ideas swimming around in my head here. So I. The next thing I have. I do have that song. So I will play you a song that I. I made with Chat GPT. I'll explain how it all came together.
Yeah, that's cool.

You know, I just get to send a quick email and then they just respond. Got it, take care of it. Boom. I don't have to wait. It's like some of these other companies that I've used, man. It's. You're just waiting and waiting. Open a ticket and do this and wait.
Yeah. What's the priority of this ticket? Like.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's great. I'm, I'm just, I'm so happy that I don't have to worry about it anymore. And that's, it's a peace of mind.
That's great. Yep. And you can get that peace of Mind to visit ever ever site E V E R s I t e.com BB to get started today. And yeah, our thanks to Eversight for sponsoring this episode. All right. I mentioned I had an idea for a song this weekend, and I thought, and this happens occasionally, and I love using just like I do with my writing, you know, and anything else. Chat GPT is a great place to just flesh out ideas quickly, and then I can kind of run with it from there. And so I had this idea for the hook of a song. The hook it. In songwriting circles is. Is. Is the chorus usually, right? And I thought, oh, man, that's it. Like, I was in the middle of a text message thread with one of my bands, and I. And I. Somebody said something and I replied, and it was like, oh, wait a minute. That is a hook line. That's a line. That's a hook of a country song. And so I did. I went into this app called Suno S U N O. And you can do this for free. You put the app on your phone, you can do it on the web or whatever. And all I did was say, make me a country song that uses this as the hook, and we can, you know, talk about problems and this, that, and the other thing. So I'm gonna play it up through the first chorus so that you can. You can hear the hook in context. So in theory, this will work. And here we go. This came in.
Got a call from the boss today he said, I'm sorry, son, we're closing down the place and it's sad to say but we're letting everybody go the bills are due and the rent is laying Honey, we got four kids to raise I guess it's true what they say when it rains, it pours.
I love it. Yeah.
And then there's a second verse. I. All I told it was the hook.
The.
The beer made it better for a minute.
For a minute.
And. And I said, come up with some scenarios. I don't really care. I just want to kind of start fleshing this out. And 90 seconds later was when that came out of my phone speakers. Yeah.
Yeah.
It'll make me a video if I want. It's like, whoa. And I can. I can go in and edit the lyrics, you know, and. And it'll retract the song for me. All that stuff. I. You know, I don't know that I would ever use this as, like, the means to a. A finished product.
Yeah. It helps you iterate.
Iterate and talk and just be like, all right. Yes. Yes. There Is something here. We should mess with this. And then I can also say, yeah, but would this work as a power pop song? And, like, it would rejigger it and come up with that, and you can pay for it and use more iterations and that sort of thing, but it's a blast. It really, really is. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think that's a great. It's fun to do, too. If you have somebody that's, you know, you're going to send them something that happened over the week.
Exactly.
Never. Yeah. I love that.
I think that's great.
Yeah.
Beer made it better for a minute.
That's so cool. That's a T shirt right there.
I know. Well, that was it, like, when. Because I. One of my bandmates said, but beer makes it better. And I wrote For a Minute. And as soon as I wrote that, I was like, wait a minute. If this isn't already a song, it needs to be.
Yeah, yeah. That's cool. So that's suno S u N O dot com. That's.
That's awesome.
Right?
I don't. I don't know if it's dots dot com.
It is. I'm up right now.
Great. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay. Great. Yeah. Just all it is, you know, gives you a prompt. Type in an idea, Start with a simple prompt, or dive into our pro editing tools. Your next track is just a step away.
And it really is just a step away. Ninety seconds later, that came out, and it was like, all right, yeah, this is good. And then when. And it gave me two versions of it. That was the better version in terms of the. The chorus had it. It's the same lyrics. It just does two slightly different versions of the song. I felt like that chorus had a nice lift to it. And so it was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They have a free plan. You just get started going. Then they have a pro that's eight bucks a month.
That was made with the free plan, man. Like, wow. That's it.
Yeah. That's really good.
Yeah.
In the. In the pro, you can upload some of your own audio, all that kind of stuff. And so you could mix it, maybe.
If you did that.
Sure. And. And you get the commercial use rights, Right? Right. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Cool. But list it says commercial use rights for songs made while subscribed. Oh, I get it. I read that. Okay. That's great. That's awesome.
I agree.
I think sounds very cool. Go check it out. And we'd love to hear about your AI experiences. What are. We can't do it all. What are you using AI for that you can share with us so we can share with Everybody else. Feedback. BusinessBrain Show. We'd love to hear from you.
