Cameron Herold on hiring: pick a leader who fits your culture and vision, not just someone with impressive past jobs. Back them to build your team and hit your goals on time and budget, like a contractor building to spec.
Chapters
What you can do is you can show the workers what the vision of your house looks like. The contractor will build the plans, and then you can support the contractor who supports the workers, and they'll build your dream for you. Because everyone, see, and they build it inside the timeline and the budget you've got. And that's the most important thing to look at. Don't get enamored with experience or their pedigree or the jobs that they've been in. I'm like, oh, you're entrepreneur. Okay, great fit. So be really careful with bringing on corporate and work to bring in the experience, but the culture fit. Maybe you're looking for somebody who really has it, but culturally, they align with you and Danette as that entrepreneurial couple.
