Cameron Herold describes practices for improving COO Alliance in-person events by soliciting feedback from prior attendees (example: Lindsay from Title Alliance), holding immediate team debriefs after events, and incorporating those notes into future systems. He frames the workflow as plan → brief → execute → debrief and emphasizes resetting standards after each event to seek further improvements.

So one of the things that I do for our in person events is I often talk to prior attendees. I just did a call two weeks ago with one of our prior attendees of our in person events, Lindsay. She works for a company called Title alliance. And I asked her what would make these events better, what would make them more of a connection with our current members are coming in. I talk to my team. We always debrief right after our prior event. So if we run an event, we ran one last April, the week following, all of the attendees and my team members will do a quick debrief to find out what we can do better. We always revisit those debrief notes and build those into our future systems as well. So it's about kind of plan, brief, execute, debrief and then just asking some of the people around me and also just keeping my eyes open for other ideas as well. I think it's also about trying to run a really great event and then closing that event off and bringing the bar back down to zero and saying what can I do to make it better again as well.
