A first-person monologue reflecting on early career behavior (listen, learn, execute), gradual expansion of job scope, growing confidence despite lacking formal finance/accounting expertise, and the development of mutual trust by recognizing and relying on complementary strengths. The speaker frames trust as an ongoing process tied to changing challenges and evolving responsibilities.

My first six months specifically, I listened and I learned and I did what I was asked and I tried to take every task as an opportunity to prove that I could execute but build value in the process. Not an order taker, but like a yes and person. I'm going to bring additional value to that. And over time, I would say I was given a little bit greater scope. A little bit greater scope. A little bit greater scope. And my confidence increased too because, you know, I'm not an accountant, I'm not a finance professional, I'm not a wealth management advisor. We had to quickly sort of agree that like, you know your strengths and I'll trust you in those and I hope that you grow to respect my strengths and trust me in those. And that's been, I would say, the, the vibe of our relationship and building trust over the years. I still think I'm growing trust every day. I hope I am. You know, as we continue to grow and our challenges change.
