This is a short YouTube testimonial by Cody Barton (Operating Partner at Start Virtual) describing why he joined the COO Alliance. Barton says he sought an operator-focused community—since many masterminds/conferences focus on CEOs or sales—and found a tribe of behind-the-scenes operators at COO Alliance. He credits the community with providing diverse industry insights that let him bring back ideas to Start Virtual, avoid repeated painful lessons, and accelerate growth across recruiting, hiring, training, people management, marketing, sales, operations, finances, and strategic planning. He closes by recommending the group to coachable operators who both give and receive advice.

Hey, guys. My name is Cody Barton, the operating partner@startvirtual.com and the COO alliance has been nothing else but amazing for myself. I've been looking for a community that I could go to for operators. All of the masterminds, all of the conferences, they're all about how to be the best salesperson, how to be a better CEO of the company. And it's always about those sorts of topics and so forth. For me, as the operating partner at Start Virtual, I'm looking for who the heck out there is as crazy as me that is also wanting to grow as the operator, as the CEO of a company or the COO of a company, and being able to get around a community and a tribe, really of other individuals in the same position as I am. It's not always as easy to find these people because like myself, a lot of us are behind the scenes. You see the front, the face, the CEO of a company, but you oftentimes aren't finding the people behind the scenes that are making the things happen. And so being a part of this group, the community, has been amazing. And all of the different minds and industries here have really helped me be able to grab different ideas and insights to be able to bring back to my company and to be able to make a big difference really quickly so I don't have to go through some of those painful lessons that I already have went through. I'm able to take some of those things and, and be able to grow faster than I would have been able to if I had to struggle through some of those obstacles that I don't even know are going to be obstacles yet. So from everything from recruiting, hiring, training, managing people, marketing, sales, anything operationally, finances, strategic planning and management, just everything that you could need to know to be a better operator, you can learn at the COO Alliance. And the people here have been nothing less than amazing. So if you're considering looking at, you know, becoming a part of this group, you're somebody that wants to be able to give back and then also to be able to receive information and you're coachable. This is definitely the community for you.
