10 ANIMALES que VIAJARON al ESPACIO 🐿️🌌

Ten animals that went to space, from fruit flies to dogs and a cat. The video covers their missions and the ethics of using animals in space exploration.
Many animals have traveled to space throughout history. Do you want to know them in this video by an animal expert? We talk about 10 of them. Don't miss it. 1. Fruit flies in 1946, the first animal species to travel to space was the fruit fly. In 1946, several fruit flies traveled aboard a V2 rocket to outer space. Their mission was to learn about the effects of radiation at high altitudes. 2. Albert the monkey In 1948, the first monkey astronaut was named Albert the Monkey and was launched aboard a V2 rocket by the United States in 1948. Unfortunately, he died of suffocation during the flight. 3. The dogs Saigon and Dexik In 1951, the Soviet Union sent these two dogs into outer space to perform a suborbital flight. In July 1951, both returned safe and sound after traveling to an altitude of 110 kilometers. 4. Laika the dog In 1957, this adorable stray dog traveled aboard Sputnik 2. In 1957, Lyca was trained along with other dogs in Moscow, but she was ultimately chosen to crew the ship. Unfortunately, she did not survive the trip. Discover the true story of Lyca in the video above. 5. Fatty Squirrel Monkey In 1958, a Jupiter type intercontinental ballistic missile took off from Florida with a squirrel monkey inside. His name was Fatty and he was trained by the US Navy to carry out this mission. He completed the flight successfully, but unfortunately died due to a mechanical failure in the parachute recovery system. 6. Abell and Baker the Monkeys In 1959, these two adorable monkeys were launched into space. In 1959, Abel and Baker traveled 580 kilometers above the atmosphere and reached a speed of over 1,500 kilometers per hour. They returned to Earth safe and sound to become big stars from that moment on. 7. Ham the chimpanzee In 1961, this chimpanzee was launched into outer space by the Americans in the Mercury 5 spacecraft. He was trained to demonstrate that operations such as avoiding electric shocks or moving levers could be performed on board a spaceflight. Ham managed to return to Earth alive and received a medal for his mission. 8. Felicet the Cat In 1963, this French cat was the first feline to travel to space. Felicet was launched in a rocket and flew above the earth for about 15 minutes. She then returned by parachuting down in a small space capsule. Her mission was a success and she became quite the celebrity. Discover the feats of other cats who made history in the video we have left for you above. 9. Horsfield the tortoise In 1968, this tortoise, along with several fruit flies, some meatworms and other animals, manned the Zon 5 spacecraft launched by the Soviets. They all survived the trip and were the first animals to enter deep space. 10 Two Bullfrogs in 1970 In November 1970, two bullfrogs were launched on the Frog Odalite orbital satellite. The purpose of this mission was to understand the degenerative motor processes caused by weightlessness. Neurophysiological data was collected, but the spacecraft never returned to Earth. After learning all this data, we would like to reflect on this. Hundreds of animals were used by the United States and the Soviet Union to achieve great success in the space race. But do you think it was worth experimenting on these animals? At Animal expert, we condemn all types of animal testing. And what do you think about all this? Until next time, experts.
