10 cosas que los gatos odian y debes evitar

Ten things cats hate, from water and loud noises to forced affection and strangers. Learn what stresses your cat so you can avoid it.
Cats are brave, confident, playful and affectionate animals, but they are also sensitive with fears and a certain hatred for certain situations. Do you want to know what they are? What are cats afraid of? In this video from Animal Expert, we will talk about the 10 things they hate the most so that you can better understand your cat and prevent it from suffering unnecessarily. Foreign water is one of the things that cats hate the most. Even if just a few drops fall on their body, they will most likely run away. However, this does not happen with all felines, as there is a minority of cats that do tolerate water. Among the theories that explain this hatred, the most widespread is that it refers to the origin of most cat breeds. Many of them come from desert areas located in the Middle east and China where they have had little contact with water. 2. Strong odors Although cats sense of smell is not as sensitive as dogs, it is more developed than ours and they perceive a wide variety and intensity of odors. For this reason, they detest strong aromas such as vinegar, onion or gasoline. 3. Forcing them to do things they don't Want to do Cats like to keep their space and feel free. That's why they hate hugs when they don't want to receive affection. This act, which for us is pure love, is a real nuisance for them because they feel trapped. Forcing them to do things they don't want to do can cause them stress, anxiety and even fear. All of this can lead to unpleasant reactions for us, such as scratching or biting. However, this does not mean that cats are unaffectionate animals. It simply tells us that for them, everything has its time and dose. 4. Unfamiliar people and animals the arrival of strangers in their territory is one of the things that cats hate the most. If they have been socialized since they were kittens, they should have no problem with unknown people or animals. However, most cats run and hide when someone outside the family visits the home. Cats like to feel in control of their surroundings, and the arrival of a stranger involves a host of new smells and sounds that they have never experienced before. For some, this arouses their curiosity. For most, as we said, it causes fear and insecurity. 5. Loud noises shouting Firecrackers, loud music, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, storms or ambulance sirens are just some of the sounds that cats detest. Their sense of hearing is much more developed than ours. It is therefore not surprising that they feel bothered by such loud noises. For this reason, we do not recommend yelling or scolding a cat for unwanted behavior because it only causes stress, anxiety and fear, it is always best to use positive reinforcement and praise good behavior. 6. Changes in their Routine it is no secret that cats are routine oriented animals and highly sensitive to change. As we said, they need to feel in control of their life and their environment and a sudden change completely throws them off balance. So if you have to change places or move, prepare your cat in advance and take the necessary measures. 7. Surprises this point is closely related to the previous one. Just as they hate change, they detest the element of surprise that we humans love so much. You've probably seen videos of cats that are scared of cucumbers. Well, what happens is that they're not afraid of the cucumber itself, but that the fact that it has been able to get so close to them without being noticed causes them fear they would have the same reaction with any other object that they weren't expecting. Although it may seem funny, surprising, a cat is a way of creating anxiety and stress, so we recommend looking for other, healthier ways to have fun with them. 8. Round silent balloons with slow movements and to top it off, flying balloons. It is difficult for cats to understand what balloons are, especially if they are floating, and in many cases they mistake them for a threat or even a possible predator. 9. Piercing stares no animal likes to be stared at for a long period of time, and cats are no exception. With their guardians they may not show any fear, but with strangers they can feel threatened and react violently or run away. 10. Dirt cats are very clean animals, so much so that they spend a large part of their day cleaning themselves. For this reason, they need their environment to be as clean as they are, and they hate it when their litter box is dirty. Their water bowl is not changed daily, their toys are not shiny. And that's it for today's video. What does your cat hate the most? Tell us in the comments and if you like the video. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Until next time. Experts.
