However, today we're going to focus on dogs that, interestingly enough, resemble lions. Do you want to meet them? Then keep watching this video. 1. Tibetan Mastiff this dog is usually found with an abundant mane that surrounds its entire head, just like the king of the jungle. Its large size coupled with its abundant mane, especially long on its head, makes it look like a domestic lion. In addition, one of its most typical colors is camel or beige, similar to that of lions. 2. Cho Cho is a large dog with a bulky and wide body with a coat that really looks like a wild lion. In addition to its coat, the Cho Chow has other characteristics that could resemble those of a lion, such as its small rounded ears and its short flat snout. Find out more about this unusual breed in the video we've included on the card. 3. Kish Hun this is the result of crosses between the Chow Chow, the Key Hound and the Samoyed. As a result, the result is a dog that looks like a Silver Chow Chow with slightly pointed ears. It is a medium sized dog with long, dense fur that stands out for being even longer on the face. Hence its resemblance to the lion Lo Chen or Little Lion Dog. Of course, the Little lion dog could not be missing from this video. Although we can see it with a long coat, it is more common to find it with a lion style cut which consists of cutting the hair all over its body short except for the head, the tip of the tail and the feet. 5. Pomeranian Although the Pomeranian is much smaller than a lion, they share similar features. For example, the Pomeranian also has a longer coat of hair on the face. Despite their similarity in coat, their nervous and playful nature sets them quite apart from wild felines. If you want to know more about Pomeranians, don't miss the video we've left for you above. 6. Sizzou did you know that the Sizzou translates to lion dog in Chinese? In fact, it is also known by the name of Little Oriental Lion. It originated in the region of Tibet where it served as a guard dog for homes and families. Its resemblance to the lion is no coincidence. They this trait was enhanced by well controlled crossbreeding. Thus, if they looked like small lions, they could guard places with a fierceness and fortune that guardian lions bring in Chinese culture. 7. Leonor this is a large Molosser breed with a long brown coat. In fact, the most common color of its coat is the so called fawn. Not only does it resemble lions in appearance, but despite its enormous size, it is very agile, moving with ease and great speed, which is surprising for such a huge dog. 8. Eixide Terrier this dog can look like a miniature lion, especially when the hair on its body is trimmed, but not on its head, which is much longer and more prominent. Its temperament is also leonine, as it is a small dog with a fairly strong character. 9. Caucasian Shepherd Although its robust appearance could coat and size may resemble that of a wild beast such as a lion, in terms of character, they are not at all similar. The Caucasian shepherd is one of the calmest, kindest and most affectionate breeds in existence. 10. Eurazer this breed of dog can also look like a lion. This is due to its coat, which is quite dense and especially long and bushy around its head. It also has a tail, also covered in long fur, and very expressive brown eyes.
