Welcome. I'm War from the Creando Hormigas Channel, and I'm here today on Animal Expert to show you a bunch of cool stuff about ants. Okay, guys, as I said, we're going to cover a bunch of super interesting topics, like what types of ants are in an anthill. How can you create your own ants at home like I do? Because it's super easy and very economical. You practically won't spend anything. And the most important thing, that the little ones in the house will love it, and the not so little ones too, because it's amazing. You can feed them, watch how they eat, how they store food, all the things they do that are super interesting. You'll see that you're going to love. So I highly recommend having an anthill at home because the truth is that it doesn't take up any space, it doesn't require any time, and practically no care. It's amazing. So let's get started. Okay, guys, before I tell you everything you're going to need and the steps you need to follow to have your own anthill at home, I'm going to show you all the different types of ants that exist in an anthill. There are different types of ants, so let's talk a little bit about them. First, let's talk about the queen. The queen is in charge of laying the eggs. Only the queen is going to lay eggs, so you have to take great care of her because she's going to be in charge of bringing more ants to our colony. Second, let's talk about the workers. The workers are these little ants that run around, get food and bring it back to the anthill without them there for the queen. So they're also very important. Then, among the workers, there are some species that have slightly larger workers, and this is because they may need to bring food that is larger or bulkier, perhaps seeds that the other workers can't carry. And of course, when they bring it to the anthill, what happens? They can't open it because they are super strong. So these soldier workers, which are super strong, have very large jaws and can break open the seeds. They are also responsible for defending the workers. They are placed at the entrance of the anthill and being much larger and having gigantic jaws, they can scare other animals or even attack them if necessary. These are the three main types of ants. Then there are also some princes that we will talk about later, but more on that later. Well, I'm sure that many of you, when you're out walking in the summer, usually at night, have seen A lot of queen ants, the thing is, you didn't know what they were, but here I am to show you. Well, look. The ants that have wings are queen ants. Normally, after the rains, in spring, summer and autumn, a lot of winged ants usually emerge. These winged ants are queens that have come out of other anthills and have flown off in search of other kings to fertilize and create new colonies. Now that we know what a queen is, all we need to do is get a fertilized one. And this is very simple. As I said, after the rains in summer, autumn or even spring, you have to go for a walk and you will see queen ants running around on the ground without wings. These are the fertilized queen ants. They no longer need wings to go out in search of a male to fertilize them, because they have already been fertilized. So they take off their wings, which they no longer need at all, and go in search of a place, a tree, a log, or maybe they start digging up a small piece of sand that they find, and there they create their own colony. They don't need to eat anything. They have taken the energy from those wings. They have taken all the energy. And with that same energy, with all that fat, with all that abdomen that they have, superder, they have more than enough energy to last a month, two months without eating anything. So what they do is lay the eggs, and from there the first nurs, nurses will be born, the first workers who will go in search of food for the queen and for themselves and for the colony that is growing. So once you have the queen fertilized, what else do you need? You need a test tube. You can use a syringe or even some type of similar container. We will go to my house now and I will show you what type of containers I use, which are simple, economical, and if you do not have them, you can use any other. They do not have to be like the ones I have, but it is the most advisable. I will show you later. So all you have to do is put the queen in there, which will have the humidity with the water and such, which we will see now. And that's it. You don't have to do anything else. The queen can stay there perfectly for six, seven months, even a year. You don't need to make any kind of super elaborate anthill super expensive. It's not necessary. It's not necessary. So I'm telling you it's economical and super easy. So come to my house and now I'll show You, the queens that I have, some of the anthills. And if you want, you can follow me on my channel and you can follow all those queens and all those anthills, see how they grow and everything they do. So now we'll see you. Okay, guys, look. Well, it's very simple. Here we have the queen. Look how big she is. They're beautiful. These, for example, are a little bit smaller. There are a lot of types of ants. And look, all we need is one of these little tubes which you can find in pharmacies for a few cents. It practically costs nothing. As I said, you can use syringes or any other container you want. And all you have to do is use a little bit of water at the end and a cotton ball so that the water doesn't leak into where the ants are. As you can see, it's simple. A little bit of water. It's very important that it's water that you drink and doesn't contain too much chlorine so that nothing happens to the ants. And look at them, how pretty. And all you need is a little bit of water, a little bit of cotton, the space where they're going to be, and then another cotton ball here so that they don't escape. Here we have another type of ant. Look how pretty they are. These are much smaller and there are a lot of them. These are a little bit bigger. Look, there they are carrying the ants. Do you see how they hide them? I usually cover them with this little plastic so that the light doesn't bother them. You see, these eat seeds. So here, for example, I've put some seeds in them and that's it. You don't have to do anything else. You can watch them. And look, for example, this is a little more complex. This is where I put the food, and they collect it here, as you can see, and store it. Look at them here. This is a little more complex, but I'm telling you, it's not necessary to have it because this species right here is the same species that I have in this little jar. I would even say that here in this jar there are more. As you can see, it's quite a bit bigger than the others. When you see that you can't feed them anymore, you can find a slightly bigger container like this one here, or you can make an anthill for them. I bought this one here. But, for example, you can make your own anthills. This is a homemade anthill that I made. I haven't put any colonies in it yet, but I will put some in the future. Look. Do you see? It looks super cool. And you can do it yourselves. Easy. If you want more information, or if you want to continue watching how the ants grow, the care I give them, anything, you can go to my channel. You have it in the description and it's really amazing. I recommend you stop by and take a look because I'm sure you'll get hooked. So I'll see you very soon. Bye.
