A guide to summer pond maintenance covering filter cleaning, vacuuming, water analysis, and algae control. The speaker walks through replacing lamp bulbs, checking water quality, and keeping fish healthy during hot months.

Temperatures are rising. Summer is coming, which means we're going to have to get our pond ready. We'll start by cleaning the filter, vacuuming it thoroughly, and changing the bulb in the lamp somewhere. This will help us keep algae at bay. After this first cleaning phase, we'll wait a week, and then we'll do a complete water analysis. It's important to check the Kh ph and also the nitrogen complexes because you may need to use some bacteria to activate the filtration system. Oh, and it's important to remember to add new fish until you have the correct water values.
