The content is a monologue focused on pet care tips.
Hi, I'm Jordi Faraze, also known as the cat educator. Today I'm going to talk to you about how to take my cat to the vet. There are many people who can't take their cat to the vet because there's simply no way to fit them in a carrier. The truth is that it's very difficult to explain how to do it, since cats have a really hard time when they're put in a place they don't like, especially if it's a small place where they're not used to being. Anything that involves covering them up with blankets and other things like that will probably do more harm than good. Although sometimes, especially if the cat is sick and there's no other option but to go to the vet, the solution will almost always be the one that has to be done. What you have to be very careful about is that even if our cat never bites or scratches us, the day we force them to put them in a carrier, that day, they can really hurt us. They can bite and scratch us. Cats don't like leaving the house, they don't like getting into the carrier, so you'll have to do all the tricks you can. Some people will get lucky and be able to trick the kitten by putting food in the carrier. Others will have to do some trickery, cornering it however they can. Some people might be able to succeed by holding it with a blanket. In any case, you have to try to do it with the least amount of stress possible. Rather than explaining how to put it in a carrier, it's probably better to explain the care you have to take to avoid getting scratched or bitten. You have to be clear from the outset that the cat doesn't want to go through the hoop and doesn't want to get in the carrier. Many people won't take their cat to the vet at all, especially if it's for something that isn't necessary. There are people who take their cats to the vet to have their nails trimmed. For example, it wouldn't be necessary to put the cat in a stressful situation for such a small thing. When it's really necessary, then you have to do whatever it takes. But you have to know that it's very difficult, that there's no exact way to do it, and that what you have to do above all is be very careful and think that our cat, who would never do anything to us, could hurt us or hurt us a lot that day. Therefore, you have to be very aware of the moment. It's going to be hard for sure. It's hard for everyone. I have a hard time with my cats. So you just have to be careful. It's not like there's a specific trick. Each house will have its own little trick. And if there's no way and the cat doesn't have any problems, well, it's better not to do it. This is another video from here from Gary. I hope to see you soon.
